Well it is official. The government has shutdown and now nothing is going to get done right. I think both the democrats and republicans don't deserve to even be electoral parties in the U.S anymore. Neither can compromise, they both point fingers at each other for one issue to the next, both criticize each other for one move the other makes. There should be another party out there to lean on. Or hell, there could only be a one party system. What do you think?

If the government is still taking taxes from paychecks, it's not really shut down. I for one refuse to panic over another childish tantrum being by thrown by some over glorified desk jockeys with princess complexes. Dems and Reps are like two playground petulant bullies fighting for control over the same broken toy and neither have the damn sense to know what to do with it once they get their grubby paws on it.

Whoopi Goldberg on "The View" said it best. "I bet those damn politicians would be for the people if THEIR damn salaries/paychecks were cut short by a government shutdown. Why do the people lose their paychecks & not the people who are responsible for the shutdown? Makes no sense!"

+ 1 + 1+ +1!!!!!

I'm going to point out a totally capricornian sentiment here. It's going to piss some people off, but it needs to be brought up. Why are they relying on the government for paychecks? If they had taken care of business, the government wouldn't be supporting them.

Now, don't get me wrong. There are people who NEED disability, social security, workman's comp and welfare. BUT, there are a lot of people who are working the system and drawing in those paychecks who COULD make their own money. I know a guy who was shot in the foot and is drawing disability when there is nothing wrong with his brain and he could be working a desk job, but his philosophy is why have a job when the government so easily hands out a free paycheck? I know another who researched and padded his symptoms and "claims" to be bipolar just to get a disability check. This attitude is partly what is wrong with the American people.

I would be so bold as to say that anyone who is "pissed off" by your words here are probably a part of the problem. My only real concerns are for the elderly and disabled that don't have family to care for them and our military personal with families to support. Everyone else can piss off and find a job.

And before anyone starts screaming that there are no jobs, you can thank your government for that too.

I agree with you on the man who still has a brain and working hands to work. He may not walk but he can work at home if he wanted to. There are PLENTY of online jobs he can try at, and he doesn't need to go outside. Even so, he can find a deskjob, as alot of companies don't discriminate on handicaps, they only care that you get there on time, and do a sufficient, productive job.

I notice that in the U.S., the elderly and disable suffer alot. When my husband and I went to San francisco we saw a huge rise in the homeless there. From what the say...it's tripled over the years. No one seems to care though.

There are a lot of people who care here. There are just a lot more extenuating circumstances. I'm not really sure what Swedish laws are like but I think we could probably take care of our own if the government would get out of the way and let people start taking responsibility for themselves again.

naw it wouldnt work with swedish laws. wow i read that they laid off 800,000 workers.

well hopefully. It is Saturn in Scorpio still,

http://jewishbusinessnews.com/2013/02/05/saturn-in-scorpio-mr-destiny-comes-to-visit-how-will-it-affect-us/
Saturn entered Scorpio on October 7, 2012 and will stay there until September 18, 2015 — What does that mean?

Global impact:

Saturn is responsible for important decisions in life and for the repair of damages. Scorpio??s entry into the Eighth House will affect the economic sphere of activity and its impact on the international plateau will be highly consequential.

It will take Saturn two years to ameliorate the effects of the economic crisis that started in 2008. The process will be gradual; however, the changes will be profound and, as stated, the process is expected to end on September 18, 2015.

Saturn??s influence will be felt globally by all inhabitants, it will affect entire countries. It will work as a mirror that will provide a realistic reflection of the actual state of economic resources. The result, there might even be an utter economic collapse at the crisis?? nadir. The party is over. It's time to land back down to earth and lead a life with both feet squarely on the ground.

At present, the consequences of the global economic crisis will continue to shake us up. In some countries there has already been a significant decrease in the standard of living, while in another part of the planet wealth and power are concentrated in the hands of financial institutions (e.g., banks) and corporation of great economic power, which are still trying in every conceivable way to hold on to and play with the public??s collective wealth.

Interesting link, lisa. Thanks for the share.

you're welcome.

here's a good one I just finished reading as well.

http://nightssky.wordpress.com/saturn-in-scorpio/
The attacks to which Saturn must defend against in Scorpio are vicious and are in pursual of Saturn??s total destruction and death. However Scorpio also gives Saturn power in this position. It is not the power which tired old Saturn is most happy with, but it is a power nonetheless which allows it to defeat any enemy, the power of Saturn here is both control over nuclear weapons, it is that psychological advantage of the mote, but also of resources which are unseen, and unknown even to Saturn until the moment of dire need. Another scenario for Saturn here is that of being overwhelmed by forces which create a dire emotional situation for which it is not prepared. This is the emotional shaking which leads to emotional self control, control of emotion, control of desire, control of Mars??s anger, lust, though of course —control?? does not mean repression or negation, it means control, aqueducts control water to bring it and satisfy the city. Control here means that Saturn focuses the anger and lust of Mars polishing them and making them work better. A stone aqueduct of pure water as opposed to a dirty stream is one possibility.

Saturn is either too young, or too old for the experience of death, the fear of which is a potent and destructive force for Saturn??s inexperience. But destruction is definitely a part of Saturn??s experience here, it will be a destruction and a devastation that causes a great deal of anxiety and desolation. This destruction can take form usually in the guise of the previous generation wiping out resources, or of the previous generation dying or disappearing in order to bring about misery.

---

but i believe the other link is more descriptive of economy = saturn scorpio, this one sounds more like a novel. but the responses are great and talks about fear of betrayal, ect.

Yeesh. I don't think I'm looking forward to the next few years. As soon as this ugly little Saturn upheaval is over I get to go straight into my first return. Maybe I should start praying again lol.

We (here, my family and my extended families) don't feel the effects much to be honest. It's only when I get here, on dxp, "online" do i actually feel it. Via you all here....if that makes sense.

if I get offline and stay away, I am back to my peaceful, loving harmonious life without the sadness/sorrow of what's going on. So i have to make a balance from this world to my world. The internet really is a "link" in a way....connectedness to humankind. Interesting because 11th house Aquarius/Saturn/Uranus is internet/technology as well as hopes, dreams and wishes. Thought I'd add that anyway.

I did forget the federal employees who are hardworking people and do take care of business. The museum and state park employees for example. They're not getting a paycheck. I just hope they have an emergency fund so they won't feel the pinch so bad.

This country is embarrasing. Will someone adopt me?

All world is getting embarrasing, but only for who cares.

All govs should be eliminated right now including all big corporations that steal & destroy our world.

They simply do what they want, when they want only for their ones interests.

We all regular people should all be sick of this and say enough.
