Republican strongholds:

Indiana, North Carolina, Virginia - Obama is the first Democratic president to take these states in 20 years

Battelegrounds:

Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio - Obama took these states that Bush swept in 2004.

What he could stand to lose:

Florid, Ohio, Nevada, North Carolina

One alternative to win:

Virginia, Florida, and Pennsylvania

Not impossible that he could take the Republican strongholds and Battlegrounds again, however, should that not happen, there still stands the althernative, but he could have trouble winning Pennsylvania and other Rust Belt states.

13% of the electorate in 2008 was African American and 95% supported Obama. Ultimately what it comes down to is voter turn-out.

Thoughts on what states you think Obama will/will not take?

His royal Kenyan dicatatorness doesn't have a prayer in Ohio with the way he has alienated Catholics through his "do as I say regarding abortion mandates" toward Church sponsored hospitals.

5 dollar gas this summer will also cost him Florida and North Carolina, and his destructive attitude toward the coal industry will cost him Pennsylvania.

The only ones who will vote for Obama in 2012 are fools.

Nevada may go to Obama just because those people are stupid enough to have recently re-elected Harry Reid.

Hey you worthless democrat fucks, what do you have to say about the Chinese Human Rights Activist who was on the run from Communist agents? Cheng Guangcheng ring a bell, you useless fuckers?

He ran to the US Embassy for asylum, and was booted into the streets "to regain contact with his family."

If the internet blogs hadn't brought this story to National attention, you God-Damn democrats would have let him get arrested by the Communists and subsequently murdered.

PS...

Fuck You, Democrats.

Good points about the impatience and short memories. I keep reminding everyone around me that Obama DID say repeatedly that it was gonna take more than 4 years to reverse the damage, and that results would NOT come over night. This is not to dismiss the plight of those who are struggling to pay the mortgage and feed their kids, but I think many get caught up in the rhetoric, charisma, and "fun" of it all without taking a realistic view of what the process to turning this economy around actually entails. Lack of information by failure to educate one's self on anything from policy, voting, congress, etc. This is not in anyway to blame the American people but I think it's just a small part of the problem. The issue is so complex.

As for reaching across the aisle, I think Obama has done a fine job thus far. The real question should be - who has reached back? I agree with the sentiment that the Republicans would rather see the economy fail than to see Obama win. Biden already confirmed that Romney/Ryan have rejected every single proposal that Obama has laid on the table, and although it's politics as usual, the playing of the Obama/Clinton administrations against one another is just another example of how stupid they think the American people are when it's clear that on top of the normal everyday challenges and obstacles a president will face, that a Black president will be (and has been) met with a unique set of his own.

I'm not sure that Obama may have bitten off more than he can chew. I wouldn't count him out just yet. For Dems, voting in your down ticket races (i.e. Senate, House of Reps...) as well, is CRUCIAL. We can chant "YES WE CAN!" all day long but if the majority of Congress is Republican, then, guess what?

Doesn't matter who we vote for, our votes change nothing.
We aren't the one's deciding.
Obama's a puppet, I suggest that American minds should stay attentive to what's going on in the world around them, and to the decision our government is actually making rather than the silly false promises, and aimless politicians arguing in the election. Maybe then we could actually change something, if everyone would get their heads out of the sand.
