Being with someone based on their smell?

A lot of us don't get along with certain signs, but what about their smell? Do certain signs have certain smells? I've had this happen to me a lot of times. I see a really good looking guy. Then I get to know him, and while we have so many similarities I just can't get over their natural smell. They can wear cologne and it'll be good for a while, but then I get a whiff of their natural scent. Not when they don't take a shower..i guess the musk? It's weird cus I can see a really attractive guy and an okay guy, but if the attractive guy doesn't have the right smell he will lose over the okay guy.

Anywho.. I've noticed I tend to be attracted to certain signs smells. Like scorpio and leo. No clue what's up with that.

Does anyone else do this where the smell has to be right to be with them? What sign's natural scent usually smells the best to you?

I know what you are saying Happy...liking someone's natural smell is also part of "chemistry" between 2 people. Now, if they haven't showered in a week then, ew, nothing will help that. But if I am interested, then his natural smell is something I enjoy and want to smell the pillow after he leaves...lol.

I remember my Saggie cousin, when we were younger, would always lay her head on my shoulder and sniff. My other Sag cousin has a sensitive nose. I almost think it's a mutable sign thing, because my sis(Virgo) is very sensitive to different smells. Like she won't ride the transit or get on a bus because she can't stand the smell. I can hop on with ease lol.

Sorry for not answering the question and going on a tangent btw lol. I never really notice natural scents.

yeah pheromones are extremely important!

Which is why I'm sketched out when I hear of pheromone cologne actually working.

They're made of animals.

Which indicates to me that the wearer's target is actually sexually attracted to raccoons.

Actually that's if you go to the wrong stores. Certain places develop pheromones in a lab based on molecules that activate certain neurotransmitters in your brain, creating certain feelings.

Lol I am the same way...smelling the pillow and all. I'm glad it's not just me 🙂

Hmm maybe it is based on signs. Though my sister, who is a taurus is the same way I am...or at least the guy has to smell nice in a way.

I get that tho..the whole sensitive to smell thing. Some smells are so bad I have to leave. You can clearly tell when a smell doesn't please me

Hmm... I'm starting to think earth signs for me just don't smell good... or at least the ones I've been around lately. I was hanging with my taur bff tonight and his scent was just way off. I told him he should stop to get some gum while he was getting gas. I was thinking it was his breath that was doing it, but even with the gum he still didn't smell right :/

Well this is because that is how humans are programmed. Youre body automatically takes in smells and chemicals that the other puts out.You are designed in such a way to figure out if you are compatible to reproduce. A person may be 100% perfect but your chem senses just say CLOSED DOOR NO ENTRE!

Question tho is, does a star/zodiac sign of the person in question has anything to do with actual compatibility? Indeed, there is various levels to with whom we may click...physical/mental/spiritual...etc...but as stated earlier,as a fish, man with "fire" element smell best to me! Damn nature and the "cave man urges" 😛 !!

You know I couldn't say for sure. Someone should do a study on it.

I think the reason why I'm attracted to the scent of scorpios is because they have the scent of my father who is also a scorpio.

The last scorpio I dated really gave off this scent and it just felt natural to be around him because I was used to the smell.

I read once that those who date those with smells that are too similar to their own could risk not being able to reproduce. This happened due to the fact that those with similar smells had similar genes and natural selection (wanting to produce newer and better genes for the purpose of survival) wouldn't respond well to the similar genes and most likely cause a women to have trouble conceiving.

I forgot where I saw this article, but it makes a lot of sense.

i dated a virgo and he wore this cologne that drove me crazy. that was one of the reasons i went out with him. and because he was GORGEOUS. i didnt get a whiff of his natural scent for like a month. he always had on that cologne. then i understood why.
i went to his house to watch movies and play some Halo. he forgot i was coming over so he didnt have on any cologne. i hugged him...ewwww, i was like wtf is that. to myself of course. it was like a farm smell, like when you walk from the cow barn to the pig pen. (my grandfather had a farm i spent every summer there till i was 18🙂 ).

after that i was like ugh, no. i am so thankful that he got deployed i didnt know what to do. ugh!

so i'm with you on that if the smell is not tickling your nose...run!


I like the smell of my libra bf he smells sweet with just a hint of old spice. i also like the smell of aquas, scorpios, capricorns, sagittarius, and geminis.

I am completely drawn to my Cappy and I love his scent. He wears cologne sometimes, but I'm like go 'au naturale' honey, that's the best! My Ex was an Aries and I preferred the cologne (could be why he's an ex...lol)

It's scientifically proven that pheromones are most noted in the skin of your nose..so there's some chemical basis for attraction..is it zodiac related? I'm not sure..

I'm sag, and i have a really good sense of smell.. never really considered if it has anything to do with the sign, though. I can say that the pheremones or natural smell has a lot to do with attraction, it can get you worked up just smelling a piece of their clothing or just standing nearby.
