Have any of you ever attempted one? Any stories? Tips? Advice? Are there any signs better equipped to handle one than other signs?

Ha! I've heard mixed opinions from people I know, so I thought I would try asking on here.

I'm in one, it is hard..but we also both enjoy our own space. We do have plans on moving in together after a year. He is a Cancer.

Did it start off as a long distance relationship or did it become one after meeting and the both of you living in the same city? With me we started off living in the same city and he moved for a better job opportunity. If you are under 30, I think you might consider keeping it as dating, until you decide there is no one like him and he is the one you want to spend your life with. You don't want to make yourself unhappy with worry or anything negative, and you don't want to make yourself unavailable to someone that you can date locally. That is my advice, based on experience. 4 years ago I was in a LDR, I didn't date ANYONE else..(he was an Aquarius) then, I moved to be close to him and found out he had a girlfriend a Gemini girl. Broke my heart, so just be careful and if you have any doubts whatsoever just keep it friendly. Hope this helps.

I know 2 people in ones now that are going fairly well, but it sounds like a lot of work vs. Meeting someone local. I've been involved with a Pisces off and on for about a year and a half now that has been pushing for us to be in one for the last yead. Never have really taken him seriously due to the distance factor though. But this retrograde has me doing a lot of thinking. He's always very consistent which is refreshing compared to what I've dealt with in the past, and for some reason I'm just very comfortable with him. I trust him, have never had to wonder how he feels, and we get along great when we are together. I have always wondered if it could be something if I really gave it a try. I don't know...
