Have loved & lost OR to have never loved at all?

I think sometimes the pain of losing a loved one hurts just as much as it would persay you'd never found love at all...and vice versa...

So many people fear commitment b/c they're insecure and/or fear being hurt, rejection or getting betrayed. But at some point, being alone (not by choice, but b/c insecurity controls you) is more draining, hurtful & takes more out of you than actually taking that leap, committing to someone & taking the "risk" that they won't hurt you.

It takes twice the energy to avoid something as beautiful as love, than it does to take the risk & go for it. Some of us fear things that either don't exist or that weren't in the cards to happen to us anyways.

Insecurity & extreme fear can hurt the heart way more than getting hurt by someone you trusted can b/c harming self is twice as worse as someone else harming you. It's common to see 2 human beings hurting another...but it's even MORE dreadful to see someone putting themSELVES through hell, unnecessary pain, lack of respect/love. And yes, I'm a firm believer that you're cheating yourself out of alot if you avoid/walk away from love (real love).

I think it's better to have loved & lost than to have never loved at all. Everything won't last forever, nor is it meant to. Some people can't accept that; they either want love 100% of the way OR not at all b/c they can't imagine what/who'd they'd become if it were ever to be lost. So sad 😢

It is better to have loved & lost then to not have loved and allowed yourself to be loved at all. I am a firm believer that people cross our paths for specific reasons in life..there will be no regrets, just great experiences..yes, it can be a hurtful experience as well as a growing experience..to deprive oneself of love(true love)out of fear is to deprive yourself of the greatest gift of all..the gift of love!
