...using the many names in religion(christianity to be a lil' more specific) all the time. 😢 i have a bit of a sailors mouth sometimes, not all the time. but at anyrate, when i'm conscientious of it, i feel really bad when i do this. here's why...

im no longer religious. i was at one point in my life, but no longer believe for my own reasons and so now i find it incredibly frustrating that i cant seem to break this habit of using religious names to curse. why would i do that if i no longer believe. sure they are just words, but their meanings go far back into history, and even farther spiritually. using these names to swear almost admits to the names themselves having some sort of damning power and i think of myself as such a hypocrit when i swear.

this might seem over the top, but ahhhh! anyone else non-religious who does this and feels this way about it?

well CP u can always replace them.. like instead of using GOd say 'Gosh'...( that way u wont be taking god's name in vain 🙂 )

im not very religious anymore ( was once) but i have to admit people's using God's and christ's name when cursing is kinnda sad... i mean i dont understand how people lose total control and have to swear—... well guess everyones different....

but as cap said... it takes time to break habits but better work on it now then later coz its easier to break habits when ur younger....

one step at a time. i'll start with cursing with religious names. it means something to too many people, and because of that, it does matter to me. i haven't quite figured out religion yet. i may never... perhaps none of us. eventually i'll get the swearing to a minimum. though, i will say... it seems like certain people that i'm around, i become much more lax with my language. swearing all together does matter to me. though it may be better than many other habits out there. i know i'm better than it. hrmmmmm

Curious as to what people think about this:

I am an ordained minister, have performed marriages, yet, I don't believe in God, nor do I mention God anywhere in the ceremony. Legally, these two people are married . . but, since I don't believe in

What about people living in remote parts of the world, like an island in the Pacific, or something; and they've never even heard of God. They have absolutely no clue that there might be a higher power out there.

What about them? Go directly to

In the last chapter, it talks about a wheel, or chariot (meaning vessel) of fire in the sky. What does that mean?

An alien vessel? The sun falling?

Was it Isaac who had 300 wives and 700 concubines? Can't remember his name exactly, but, I remember hearing that this man was favored by God. God loved him so much for his faith and servitude, that the man was blessed and talked directly to the diety.
