i see it as
#2-lack of self confidence

when i did not question religions, i believed in a personal god. when i learned the truth about religions such as christianity and roman catholic, i learned to use the faith i had in my personal god, and use that faith in myself.

Yeah I guess many people see it that way. But it really means you have a concrete ground to stand on.. where do you get a concrete ground when nothing is truly ever known?

It seems you've left out the category where I would fit into ...

I'm faithful that that which is worthy of my faith, and god is not one of those people.

People would be so closed-minded that if someone said that, their mind would automatically conclude that she must be atheist, because most people's mind can only acknowledge one or the other.

one = you believe in god
the other = you don't believe in god

that's ^^^^^^^^ the only thing the mind can fathom .. it is closed to anything else.

And what you wrote above about faithlessness, ONLY references those two, one or the other

If I were to say I didn't believe in god, that wouldn't necessarily mean that I don't think he exists ... but, that is the only way your brain can determine the meaning of me not believing in something/someone.

I didn't believe in President Bush either .... yet, I know he existed.

No, I don't believe in god .. I don't believe in a person (or entity of any kind) that demands you to obey him, or he'll hurt you

I have much faith in those people (or entities) who are sincere, and deserve to have people believe in what they say/do

People have one thought of god, and that is to be almighty .... an almighty god could fix this world.

It's obvious that he can't, or won't ... makes him not so almighty.

Why would anyone have faith in someone like that?

Why would anyone believe in that?

To ask a person ... do you believe in god, is closed to only one interpretation of the word, "believe" ....

.. only the closed mind is certain ..
