I'm a gemini and I love a sag. The catch, there is always a catch, is that the sag is very friendly (as they are)so I can't tell if she likes me closely or if I'm the same as everyone else she meets. we talk for hours after our work sports. We get on so well, it's quite incredible. I realise this but I don't think she does.
Any ideas or info would be appreciated. Cheers. C.
things sound hard, I hope it picks up. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel, even a little one. If you want to say more that would be fine but if not that's fine too.
I really hope saggitariuns aren't all bad, I feel that would be statistically unlikely. Take care. C.
Sorry but to be serious, the point of "There's always a light at the end of the tunnel" means that there is no complete darkness there is always a light, no matter how small. The discussion of finding light in complete darkness doesn't apply. Also we are never measuring darkness anyways, we are measuring the distance of the tunnel.
So the answer to freebirds question ("Can one measure the darkness in the tunnel without light?)" is simply NO.
To answer Luz's statement without light you do indeed have dark, but with dark, the darkness doesn't remain if someone else (or you) turns on the light.
The university professor challenged his students with this question.
"Did God create everything that exists?"
A student bravely replied, "Yes, he did!"
"God created everything?" the professor asked.
"Yes sir", the student replied.
The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are then God is evil". The student became quiet before such an answer. The professor was quite pleased with him self and boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question professor?"
"Of course", replied the professor.
The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"
"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?" The students snickered at the young man's question.
The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."
The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"
The professor responded, "Of course it does."
The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."
Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"
Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."
To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."
Hello Luz, Not to be doo da but i don't know if you technically see light. Anyways, I know what you mean by "light can abrogate dark " That's a good point. I guess with "can dark consume light?" a black hole could do it. We're not restricted to this planet are we?
Hello freebird, a bit harder quoting Albert Einstein: Anyways here goes: Before I start: - you really do have to go through life not revering (that is different than respecting human beings) people in our society no matter who they may be, even Albert Einstein or God.
First off, talking about God probably helps if you believe in God, otherwise the first question(and probably the rest of it) is only of passing interest.
Anyways:
I've also got to say that I would not have sat down if Albert einstein had said the same thing to me.
That was typical manipulative control of a conversation coming up with a whole pile of facts and figures to prove a point in another science, then relating those same facts and figures to prove the existance of something that an individual believes in, in a completely different science / area of study.
Albert Einstein should have known better.
If you want some plusses for God and you aren't giving him any (i know you think you are). Then:
The professors quote: "according to the principal that our works define who we are then God is evil" is total crap. You could also say that "according to the principal that our works define who we are then God is great" because human beings have also done amazingly great and enormous things.
"God's love present in his heart" - By this you obviously mean faith.
If God is just he will let you in to the gates of heaven, if you have done good deeds all your life, even if you did not believe in him.
If he does not let you in he has thrown out good people, this he would not do.
Hello James, We must be in similiar time zones or your awake all night. That was a really quick answer.
This thinking stuff is really interesting. Getting through all the CLICHE'd ideas is important. A lot of thinking has MASSIVE and I mean MASSIVE holes in it. Things don't relate, points don't make sense. It's glaringly obvious that people have rigid ideas that they wish to propogate. You don't have to be a professor to work that out. I don't necessarily think that people mean to push dodgy ideas, but never the less a dodgy idea is a dodgy idea in any language.
Anyways, debate is good that's what moves us all forward (to where I don't know).
I hope you didn't take my reply to your posting as an attack on you personally. Reading it back later I feel it may come accross like that. I value yours and every human beings opinions and the right to say them at will. I do enjoy debates and probably take them on quite vigourously.
Anyways I thought I'd just say that.
Looking forward to any more open opinions on life.
Thanks for your kind response and no, I did not take what you said personally. You are free to express your personal thoughts as you wish. You express from what you know, your world and that is fine. No judgements here!
We each can read, digest information...keep what we choose and let go of what is not meaningful at the moment...funny thing, what we need to know usually comes to us and we understand it...thoughts, it is all thoughts and this is what creates our reality.
I found this not too long ago and really enjoy reading it...thought I would pass it along~
Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
really, I thought it was Adam Sandler's best (completely putting aside Wedding Singer). I laughed so hard-Jack Nickolson has the creepiest scariest look when he knits his eyebrows. Overall, excepting my "blonde" moment, it was worth the 2.75 it cost to

If a guy gives a girl a ring, but doesn't say anything about marriage or engagement, he just put the ring on your finger and doesn't say anything else about it. What does that mean?
When alone, I long for an intimate relationship with a decent guy. When I find one, my free spirit keeps calling me to move on after a short stay. I wonder if it is the Mercury thing affecting me(like it does to Geminis) or someth
