So I'm working as an au pair for a family. At first everything was OK, until this kid decided she doesn't like me... now I have to put up with name calling, hitting, pinching, biting, screaming... she's actually insane! When we are alone, I can usually get along with her, I just turn everything in to a game or competition and her need to win distracts her... but if her friends are there... I am literally a walking punch bag! When I finally get angry and tell her off she ignores me for like 3 days hahaha... HELP ME with this crazy sag child!! Sag are my favorite star sign but this kid is changing my mind aaaahhh.

I had once a neighbour. He was Sag-Dragon. He confessed he has harmed every nany he had had in the childhood.

as a sag-cat pisces moon i was so peaceful nobody was ever bothered by me.

I hope you get several suggestions to try and test.

my suggestion is to be distant and hard to read when friends are with you.
show yourself busy with cooking, bills, important calls, life emergency issues..... put yourself out of the circle of things which give her emotional kick.

could it be this child needs always motion?
if yes let them dance (fake bday party or motto day party) and gym. or you all go to the parks........ swimming pool.

I wouldn't be inclined to let her have friends over

then... How old is she?

I have Pluto problems. so intimidating talk will harm the relationship with me.
maybe this is the reason why
when I talk to a child I use always the "give them a positive perspective" scheme. otherwise I would feel their bad feeling if I were intimidating to them. because of my moon in pisces. your feeling is my feeling. so I always try to distract children from emotional reasons. I tell them stories. or why that would surprise momy big if we do this and that. I've done babysitting multiple times.

I have spoken to her about wanting to get along and be friends, as her favourite line is " you're not my friend" but when I confronted her she went quiet and nothing else was said, she changed the subject... however I have noticed an improvement since then but only when we're alone.
Its true, they really are hard to control, she wants to be in charge of everything!! And when I tell her what to do it just makes it worse because she also enjoy a good argument. I will try talking to her some more, maybe I can get through to her. Thank you guys

hahaha no one would know but I was that child!!! I did that to my live in babysitters, but LOVED my regular babysitters.
I loved the live ins too but I would do crazy things like leave messages on the answering machine how much I hated them. who knows why!!
shes going to completely forget she did it to you, she just does it cause she knows you are there explicitly for HER.
she figures you'll love her anyway.
shes just testing your boundaries.
shes just being a child too, I can't explain why exactly I did that as a child either.
honestly just let it roll off your back and don't care because she wont even remember she did it.
