Did I get used as a creative spark?

A little background. This Scorpio and I have been seeing each other off and on for about 7 months. I'm a cancer sun/ cancer moon. We're not committed. He has reluctantly expressed feelings for me in the past, but is very good at hiding how he feels and is very guarded. Seems pretty typical of Scorpio from what I've read, though. At times he can be very affectionate with me, and at other times seems more distant. At this point, I'm not so worried that he's trying to push me away, but he's definitely wresting with some things having to do with his feelings for me and in his life. I'm choosing to relax and stick with it. We get together a couple of times a week, and it's always sexual. Sometimes he's affectionate afterward and I've stayed the night a couple of times, and other times he's very much about having his space and I just go home. I've relaxed about that as well.

So, one thing about this guy is he has a big chalkboard in his hallway that he writes on. I noticed this very early on. I've seen things like "I don't want to get hurt again" and "People don't really know what makes them happy" on it. So, I know he's a very creative person and has a lot more going on inside his head that what he expresses to me. The other night we had sex and immediately afterward he said, "Okay... I need to write!" I was a bit taken aback, and it was in a tone of "I need to write, you need to get out." It almost made me chuckle. I said, "Well, I can't say anyway" and got all my stuff together, kissed him goodbye, and left. If this had been at the beginning of when we met, I'd have been a bit offended. But, I'm starting to accept this as a creative Scorpio quirk. I also can't help but feel like I've been used as a way to open up his creativity, but I think it's funny and sexy.
