Yea I watched it on MSNBC, she is truly a fighter, and that is what I like about her documentary. She is not letting the cancer get her, and the amount of support and encourgement that she is getting is good for her.

A second part is coming out soon. I think she is going to continue the documentary until her time is up. From what I see she has a very bad case of Anal Cancer and it metastasized through her body.

I thought her and Ryan O'neal were divorced?

I did not know her son was in jail, but was glad they let him come and see her.

There is a lady here on my job that had colon cancer, it went into remission or about 3 years and I just found out that it came back. I befriended her which is something I know I should not do but she was just the sweetest lady so I just found out today that she will be coming in soon. I can't wait to see her and give her a big hug.🙂

hey scorp how are ya girl?

I thought her and ryan was divorced too...oh well....he has been very supportive.

I really hated when she had to cut her hair....she had the most beautiful hair....

the disease she has is very rare...as a matter of fact I wonder how you can get cancer in your rectum.

I work for a group of gastroenterologists and everyone has something or another going on with their colon....we really have to start taking good care of ourselves and watch what we eat.

Hey dward 🙂

I am doing good.

Well cutting your hair is just small price to pay. Most people who have had cancer and the chemo took there hair out it grows back much thicker or something diffrent happens.

One of my co-worker had breast cancer and she cut her hair off and it grew back but it is wavey know at the ends she said it was never like that before.

I like that she left her bangs🙂

Yea I can agree with taking care of your body but since I been working at a Cancer Center for the past 7 years I'm just convinced that Cancer has no name on it and you can do all the exercise, eating etc. and you are still subject to get cancer.

Cancer is nothing but cells that has not performed their duties in our bodies, which causes a mass that can either be benign or malignant.

So you got plans for your Gems birthday?

I am taking my Gem to the Jazz Festival, in Columbia MD, at the Mereweather Post Pavillion. I asked him what he wanted to do and he said he wanted to go to the festival.

do you think that cancer is stress related somewhat?

"Cells are the building blocks of living things. Cancer grows out of normal cells in the body. Normal cells multiply when the body needs them, and die when the body doesn't. Cancer appears to occur when the growth of cells in the body is out of control and cells divide too rapidly. It can also occur when cells —forget?? how to die."

No I don't think so.

"cancer is very stress related. i actually believe that some gynae cancers and breast cancers develop particularly in the kind of women that internalise stress. i was told by an oncologist that 'stress is cancer's best friend'."

"Psychological stress can have a number of different effects on the body and its function, including effects on the immune response. Stress can worsen the symptoms of most medical conditions. Nevertheless, at this time there is little proof that stress alone is actually a cause of medical problems or cancer. Cancer is a complex disease that results from a combination of hereditary (inherited) and environmental factors.

Although some epidemiologic studies have suggested an association between life style stress and cancer, most studies fail to confirm this association. Stress is known to affect the functioning of the immune system, and it is known that compromised immune function may play a role in the development of cancers. However, there has been no scientific proof that stress can increase cancer risk."

I personally believe that stress occurs mainly when a person is diagnosed with cancer that they tend stress over the fact that they might die.

I don't thnk Lance Armstrong was stressing when he got cancer.

Robin Roberts (anchorwomen) she opt for a full mastectomy, because it ran in her family and she did not want the risk of getting cancer in her other breast. She was not stressing.

And I am quite sure Farrah Fawcett was not stressing before she got cancer.

So I find it hard to believe that stress can cause cancer. If that was the case I would of had cancer years ago when I was stressing like crazy but instead I got a lot of gray hair 🙂

Cancer runs crazy in my family on my mother and father side, from lung, breast and now throat cancer. I know I will not stress over the fact that I might get cancer due to it being hereditary.
