I'm planning on getting two stones associated with Scorpio; turquoise and malachite.
I was just wondering if other Scorpios have used them (or any other Scorpio stones)
and if so, how. Although turquoise is generally considered a stone of war or con-
flict, it is reported to calm the Scorpio. Malachite reportedly helps us to go deeper
by unblocking our perceptions.
Malachite is related to the 3rd (solar plexus) chakra and turquoise is related to
the fifth (throat) chakra, so I'm sure they can be implemented there, but I know very
little about the astrological use of gemstones. Since I am a Wittan, I use crystals
in rituals and these are all astrologiclaly timed and arranged, and I use the crystals
directly on my chakras, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience or observations
regarding turquoise or malachite.

Garnet is my usual stone to use on my root chakra. I use it with
musk essential oil and the note C (middle C), with which I chant Om.
I visualize red energy entering the chakra, which has four petals.
You can find good representations of the root chakra and others, online.
I have little experience using obsidian. At the root chakra, I seem to
get a better response from garnet. I have used red (fire) agate, too.
I have used my snowflake obsidian at the alter major chakra (at the back
of the head), which it is associated with. It seems to have a strong effect,
although I am focusing my attention on other chakras at this time Root,
sacral, solar plexus). I'll focus on the alter major when the time is right.
Ruth White's book, Working With Your Chakras is a good one. It does not
cover the astrological applications and associations, though.
