I want to study Inernational Relations & Politics

But am thinking of possible careers out of this...I would love to just go off to troubled lands and be involved in the foreign policy and re-building of it..I have a huge connection (weird) to War and destruction..and rectifying it...It really draws me in....Law is an element of this course too and as you all know, I love Law...but I need for there to be rewards..I need to get a great job out of it..theres a gap in the UK market for Politics graduates..and i have investigated and think I can fare well out of this..

Kris, I have considered MBA but erm..I don't know if I can be bothered to do all that business stuff again..bores me to tears now..I need to do something humanitarian where I am making a difference of some kind..

R&P is very interesting topic and i like it a lot,but i consider it as a risky bussiness in term of getting money of it.Like i LOVE Psychology but i know i won`t get a lot of money from it so i keep it as hobby.

I love war and destruction..not in the sense that I want to shoot people etc..(well actually wouldn't put it past me at all if I hate you) but rather in the way of rebuilding after destruction...I can't explain it..its a very weird feeling..but yeah I am all about rebuilding from scatch..structural, helping define policies on making international relations better amongst fellow citizens of the world...

Notso, you can get a great job as a psychologist..but have to study hard and long to become a fully qualified...there are so many branches of psychology. I studied NLP as a hobby on the side..but had to give it up due to exam pressure..was taking on too much..and killing myself..i intend to take it up again..

Thanks Primegen..its one of these areas that seems to be touch and go...Unless you have connections in the right places. Don't get me wrong..I know of a few people who are working quite high up there in the US..but...your right, I don't trust anyone until I've satisfied my own mind that its the right way to go..Thanks for the heads up though..

That is exactly what I wish to do..I have consulting experience behind me already..Would love to do a bit of reseach too but exposure to real projects is the aim..and no I would never cheat to get ahead, I couldn't live with myself..I will investigate fully..don't have much time left though if I wish to start in September..always do this to myself..

I'm an IR major. There's actually a huge demand for this field, especially if you work for nonprofits or NGO's. And businesses love to hire IR majors for a new world view on things. I think if you want to do it, you should. (I'm a Scorpio too, and was very drawn to all this as well). Good luck!
