That first paragraph reminds me of a recent read...called Perfume..where the guy in question sprays himself with the scent he created from killing various virginal chicks across France on the day of his hanging. 10,000 people lining the streets were so overcome with this intense scent they could not imagine him ever being the killer and fell in love with him sooo intensely they started stripping and having a great big orgie.
Yes defo...but rather foreign to a Scorpio..as he attached no particular feeling to anything...interesting character though...
As I was reading the book, I thought which signs would this character Grenouille represent...and I concluded with Aries and then maybe Capricorn...when he wanted something..he went for it utter devotion..full swing, almost reckless...but the hardworking part in order to get to his goal kinda made me forget Aries and think Capricorn...also the bit where he shacks himself up for 7 years in a cave reminded me of Capricorn..the seclusion..
However the father of the girl he murdered last, reminded me of Scorpio..having guessed what this guy's game would be ahead of time..
LOL..Yeah sorry Yums...but it is kinda feeding off what you wrote...
Satyrmind..go and read the book...its a good start, then is a bit slow..but finishes up good...Not one of the best books I read but interesting..And yeah imagine..not having a scent of your own...I really liked the Day of the Triffids...but if you haven't alread done so, read The Stranger by Albert Camus..I enjoyed that..
Its just this one character...can't remember his name now..but he's just soooo indifferent..totally alone, doesn't care about a thing..gets involved in some murder..Again its not a book one would pick up to read but having read it I would recommend..You become soooo frustrated with him cos you can't work him out all throughout the book..
Albert Camus is a Scorpio....I didn't realise...but after reading the book..and feeling perplexed..I looked him up...and he's a Scorp...then I thought maybe he was describing a Scorpio male..lol..
Great!...I look forward to reading it in that case...
Art of war sounds good...might look into that later..one can never have enough books...I often gaze at my bookshelf adoringly...
I read another set at the time of India Pakistan partition..A Fine Balance..by Rohinton Mistry...really enjoyed that book....Great insight into events, perceptions, poverty, politics and human struggle.
