This contraption was meant for the use of four individuals as far as I could tell.

I think the configuration is meant for more than 2. Otherwise, why make that padded bed like bit on the bottom?

MoonArtist, most likely a combination of 3 - 6 individuals. As far as I could tell, that seems to be most feasible

Looks like maybe the bottom is for ovulation.. I think the top is just for fun.. it's positioned to let everything run out...
