We ARE on as astrology website, so there's bound to be some level of stereotyping. It's when people take astrology as gospel that problems start.
Not the site lol. I expect it here. I'm talking about in real life! Tell people you are a Scorpio and there is a 50% chance that they recoil

Ha!

I don't usually discuss astro in public or real life. If people ask my birthday I decline to answer. On the off chance they do some astro on the side, I eliminate the possibility of them making irrational judgments about me.

That's such a scorpion thing to do lol. I think they would probably guess then, do you ever have some take a stab at guessing?

@Hare I'm sorry you feel birthdays are not important. I hope this is not to do with a life event along the way. *Hugs*

When I think of someone having trying to keep their birthday a secret it would automatically make me think Scorpio, but then having an iiterest in astrology... I guess it would.

@irreconcilabledifferences That's one of the easiest ways to tell a Scorpio lol.

You know, I have a Gemini friend who's even more guarded than I am. Way more "stereotypical Scorpio" than I could be.

I think Scorpios who are overly guarded have been painfully hurt in some way or another.

No birthday love is breaking my heart for you... man I love my birthday, I tell everyone, do a countdown, go get every free cookie or whatever on that day... never mind, I'm seeing that I clearly have issues here ?

I do believe in astrology but I think overall placements are so much more important than just the sun sign.

The only time that something really clicked for me was when I found out that I was a Gem rising. That description described me to a T. My chart says Scorp and Aries dominant. Maybe it is me and I just don't realize it. The same goes for Cancer R Mars in the first house.

The Virgo loves celebrating birthdays. I play along because I know how much it means to her. Plus I get "Birthday Week" out of it.

But for everyone else? Not a factor.

I ❤ that Virgo of yours... I love celebrating everyone else's as much as mine and I do birthday month! ?

Anyone who is overly guarded has been hurt. It's not just a Scorpio trait.

True.
