This is scorpio in venus... how do they come across to you, REALLY?
Do people REALLY see us as intimidating, intense? I wanna hear some POV, here...
My 4 closest friends all have Scorp Venus. For at least 2 of them, it was very intimidating at first meet. Showed no emotion, almost like a statue - impossible to read. At the same time, I could tell they were really sizing me up, eyes boring into me. I can understand how these people are good investigators, at least when it comes to the psychology of others, because something about their presence makes it very hard to be fake around them - even in that sort of happy/hokey cordial way that everyone usually is when you are meeting someone. Its like their presence/demeanor/energy rips your mask off completely, so they can get a good look and decide real quick whether or not they like you. Once the trust starts to build over time, they are completely different people - very vulnerable and expressive, and also very kind and considerate in surprising ways that other people are not.
However, it is almost ALWAYS awkward in some way being around their partners. If we are all hanging its cool, but I need to keep good boundaries. I get the feeling we are all under surveillance at all times....lol. If they walk away, I will really try to ignore their wife or girlfriend. It often feels like a setup.
My experience is with the men though. The women I've interacted with irl are really terrifying in a very sexy and magical sort of way. Mind control powers IMO, when it comes to the opposite sex.

Hiya 😉 I come and go lol.
I have been working on my jealousy and vindictive aspects, as I know they are no good....
I am quite extreme in my choices. I am quite picky and when I know I want someone, all I want to do is talk every minute of every day.. and then sometimes, I don't want to talk at all.
I will literally ignore them so hard, they back off and probably think I hate them. But I just require a lot of space. Eventually people get this.
I do a lot of the "weighing of choices", on how the other person might feel vs. how I feel. It's probably my libra placements.
All close friends? Can't say I'm surprised, tls. lol!

Oh and I do kinda have a predatory mindset sometimes. When I want something, I always am trying to calculate the best way to go about engineering it. Doesn't help when I gain some new obsession over a hobby, new place or new friend. That's probably also the fact Pluto conjuncts my venus. When I want something I HAVE TO HAVE IT. My mind can't stop racing over it internally.
When you talk about calculating and engineering, have you ever used other people as a kind of chess piece in getting to the person you're desiring?

You chump!' look and it was only after the meeting ended and a few people had left that my boss and another guy said that at that moment when the chump asked for fries the entire room went cold like an ice box and my face said it all!
Needless to say I must work on my people skills!!

Once I am aware of my deeper feelings, that person becomes a catalyst. Changing me while remaining the same. I interpret this as a risk - THEY now have power over ME... My mind goes into overdrive.
I have seen this shift so many times. And with at least 3 of my 4 ViS friends, it is just so strange to see such a strong person in such a position of (at least perceived) weakness, when they finally find that "one" that they are fixated on.

I feel like I have to hold back the feelings and emotions with any new prospect now for fear of scaring them away before they truly got to know me. Or else I come across as a complete overly obsessive psychotic! When all I really wanted was for them to see how much I truly care and am completely fascinated with them. How I'd move heaven and earth to be with them always....sigh. Once I set my sights on someone that's it! I want them and only them and I'll have eyes for no one else. It truly frightens me how much I can love someone or become obsessed with someone. However you want to look at it. I feel as if I'm setting myself up for failure when I love like that because I'm bound to get hurt when that degree of love and devotion isn't reciprocated. I just want to be able to be myself without feeling as if I'm walking on egg shells. But apparently that kind of love is scary to most...unnatural even. Maybe it's not even viewed as love, but rather some sick form of infatuation?

Although I'd say I could be vindictive it would take a LOT to get to that stage and on those occasions I've just walked away rather than being the nutter who destroys everything etc.

I saw it as the most amazing thing - for a person to even be capable of that level of emotion and attention towards someone. But even recognizing that, it can still be terrifying....The other, even if flattered, can feel like it is a lot to live up to.
You guys are so good at writing this stuff down. I couldn't even begin to have described much of this stuff yet it's exactly spot on!!

I think a big part of it is that other folks may move slower, and the ViS just seems to "know" so they will do the "all in" thing really fast, which can have all sorts of negative effects - overwhelming the other person, blowing their head up to where they then take you for granted, or just result in continued let-down/disappointment when you're looking for the same level of affection reciprocated but that person is just on a different timeline with developing that level of trust/intimacy. You can probably develop a lot of resentment for them by the time they even figure out what the hell is going on. I also can see a lot of situations with Venus in Scorps where once they move on, and it finally hits the other how deep your love was for them, there is a lot of regret, and now they are hooked/obsessed almost as bad as you were in the beginning.
So yeah, I can totally understand why they some of them learn to play their cards close, hold back, wear a bit of a mask at first. Sometimes experience has taught them they need to.

What I find odd is I ALWAYS get the 'I can't read you' thing or 'you're so hard to read' yet I think I'm quite expressive and easy to read (except when I'm hiding it of course) and I feel like saying 'are you dumb? It's written all over my face!' I just think it's pretty obvious but perhaps not.
The usual retort to someone who says they can't read me is 'good, cos it's taken me 35 years to perfect this look!'
Actually what topped it off was that the chump started to peer into the food bags to see if he could get his dirty little fingers on the non existsnt fries...
I had one of those moments you see in films where it cuts to what you really want to do, which in this case was to grab his head and smash it on the table as punishment for being such a chump... But then it cuts back to reality and I just smiled and stared at him...

This reminds me, I started a new job a few months ago... my manager is (I am about 99.9% sure) a very loud obnoxious and immature aries, and he thinks he is THE BEST at reading people.
However, when I entered the restaurant, I was his challenge! I later found out he finds me unsettling, and looking into my eyes, intimidation was written all over his face. I slightly enjoyed this, although I would NEVER admit that, and this caused him to freak out and start acting aggressive towards me in order to feel like he was in charge.
He later told me, "I just....don't know how to perceive you." HAHA. One of the most amusing days at work.

I try to satisfy it by talking to the person I am thinking about, texting, looking at photos, etc.
It's like if I choose one person: I am all about them. BUT it's not like I choose easily, I put them through tests first.

Smothering at times? Yes.
I can appreciate many of the qualities seen in Venus in Scorp peeps. Many of the traits they display can be quite the turn on---to me anyway. However, placed in an individual that lacks self awareness and maturity....not a good thing from my experience.

But, I would have to keep an eye on "how often" the jealous, vindictive, suspicious part comes out. Even in friendships, if it is affecting the flow of the relationship too much, I would have to cut off. Just because I like to be trusted, I like to know that you assume goodness from me. So, this placement I think needs to focus a little more on wearing the other person's shoe. Just a little more understanding and self-awareness will go a long way. 🙂
If you are self-aware, you can gauge when you are bein unfair or perhaps too much to just cool it down.

Oh , I just try to give them attention in a flirtatious way... Laugh, compliment them, ask questions, and they smile and enjoy it.
But when I do come off as too intimidating, I realize that they don't smile, look standoffish and that's when I tell myself: wipe off that look, dammit!
I always tell myself, if the first few times they look too intimidated or it didn't go well, there is always a next time.... And more people.

Sometimes I am surprised by sharp words but yeah, for some reason I internally just know, and when I really, really want something I probably won't stop till the day I die... but hey some people really appreciate this.
