My boo boo's going to daycare. I'm so sad but mommy needs to go back to work. I'm sick of being home. No place wanted to take her. They are afraid since newborns are a risk and they will be in trouble if something happens. Luckily I found a great place after hours of searching that takes babies 6 weeks and up.

I'm just glad she will interact with other kids.

Being a mother with experinece, you will get over the first initially drop off but after that he gets real easy.

The next hardest thing is having to come home and get ready for the next day, i.e., feed, bath, and get the baby ready for the next day, cook, clean, get yourself ready for the next day and try and make time for romance etc. That is where your real test of strength will come in.

i remember when i had my baby....I could only be on leave for six weeks..so imagine me having to leave him at a daycare at 6 weeks....I hated it...but that is a disadvantage and if you have to work then you have to do what you have to do....i did make sure the daycare was really close to my job so i could check on him constantly....i didnt have any help from the father so it was very hard....but you know babies do need some interaction because if they get stuck up under mom it will be hard for anyone to keep them

well i'm not going to pretend that i found daycare hard. i LOVED it!!! LOL! with my son, i worked for a trade union and i had a year in maternity leave. i joined a gym when my son was 10 weeks old cos it was the only place that took 10 week old babies and then i just worked out for two hours every day and got some important 'me' time.

it wasn't even hard when i went back to full-time work cos he was so happy in his nursery and i think it made it easier that he wasn't clingy.

mind you, my kids have both moved schools again recently and i cried on their first day. i actually had to be escorted from my daughter's school by the head master!!!

awwwww. it's really just as nice to see your baby interacting with other babies and having fun though. you should never feel guilty about it.

leokitten is right, kids need to learn social skills from as young as possible. it's good for them.
