Well did he die when he jumped off the roof or did he die on the sidewalk the night he went to the bar? I thought he died on the sidewalk that night and everything else was in his mind as he was dying?? I know that he met the girl (Penelope Cruz) before his accident in the car, but that was the only time. Everything else was not reality but his mind playing a game? I hated it last night when I watched it. The more I think about the more interesting it is. The movie itself was very chopped up, I thought!!! I wouldn't pay to go see it, and I wouldn't go see it again.

Funny you are all talking about this movie? Me and some friend at work were having a discussion - I forgot exact details that led to this movie but can recall the topic - and somehow it related to this movie? Perhaps reality like the above poster said and the friend said "he's just like the character Tom Cruise in the movie Vanilla Skies, have you seen it? If you haven't you should".

Being that I'm NOT a movie person I'm very curious now and must rent it! I'll get back to you all with my thoughts. Being that I'm a realist it should make sense to me? We shall see?

I too would hate to waste my time seeing a crappy movie!

I LOVED Vanilla Sky. It's one of my favorite movies ever. There were all kinds of messages in that movie--and visually, I thought it was brilliant and beautiful. One of the strangest movies I've ever seen, definitely. But, once I saw it for the second time, everything became very clear to me. I thought it was excellent. I've noticed that people either really love it or really hate it though.

I agree twinkee, you have to one of those people who is really into trying to uncover symbolism and things like that. A lot of people would rather not do that with a movie, which is fine; myself, I actually love it, and I love the discussion it brings about when it's over.

(btw the only reason I'm not saying when I think he really died is because I want ppl to watch it and decide for themselves. lol)
