My Scorpio lady and I just made it official. I'm crazy 'bout her. Planning a trip on where to take her Valentine's Day weekend. Thoughts anybody?
Where should I take her?

funky/fucky town! 🙂
Huh?
It's our first V'Day and I wanna make it special. Seaside getaway or cabin in the woods?

Taking her out for a romantic dinner somewhere is pretty much timeless. No matter what you do, it's all about your attitude. If you're acting somewhat detached or if just had a bad day, it's gonna show and it's not gonna come off very well. Make sure to MAKE IT ALL ABOUT HER!
Use your imagination for dessert.. 😛

Cabin in the woods is not a bad idea at all, though I personally feel woods are a little depressing. But that's just me. My ideal romantic holiday would be a ski resort somewhere, and I don't even ski!
Cozy hotel rooms, oaky furniture, comfy sofas and open fires. Cold afternoons outside, steamy windows inside. Nothing to do but spend time with eachother. 🙂

I'd want something more personalized just for me. Not something universial that would work for any girls :p
Maybe get her something that reminds you of her or going to some place that has special meaning to both of you.
I bought her a necklace from the 1930's..she loves antiques. We haven't been out of out much. She likes the sea and the forest. I'll keep searching thanks!

Yea think that's it. I mean, we live an hour away from the beach..it's winter here and it's cold but not too cold. The mountains are close too and I think that would be more of an ideal winter getaway. Thanks!

AWWWWW I love romance!! IF you're slick and can pull this off do this: Walk into a drugstore with her (by now the Valentine Decorations should be up)...sloowly WALK down the "Valentine isle" with her as if you're inentionally looking for something else in the store, but you're taking that particular isle as a "Shortcut"..and say.."WOW..they're already decorating for Valentines day?? and just casually ask her what her type of valentines would be.. better to find out now than to find out that she isn't the "type who digs the fuss over Valentines"
@ Gumshoe2, damn, that's a good one. I'd love for her to do that for me lolz.
I might have to kinda steal your idea. 😛

Wowza...ya'll have fantastic ideas. The cabin it is and I think she'll dig the love letters!!!
I'm excited and hope she loves what ever I plan. I'll keep you all posted. 🙂

+1 A dinner at a restaurant is expected and therefore not really a Scorpio worthy "yeah to us celebration". Something especially unique for the two of you, filled with surprises that demonstrate to her you were paying attention along the way up to this point. Truthfully, sometimes very SIMPLE, intimate/private is best.

OK, this might sound corny, but it's something I did for my Scorp. Maybe it'll spark some ideas.
I never cared about Valentine's day at all, but I knew it meant a great deal to him, not less because it took years for us to get together. It's pretty time-consuming and will require the help of a small village.
Here goes: the week before the actual day, he kept dropping hints, but I pretended not to take any notice. On the 13th, he asked if I were going to sleep over, but I told him that I needed to focus on work, and that I'd be there the day after. He was quietly fuming, but, again, I acted clueless. Warning: this part was *very* risky. 😉
Anyhow, later that night, I slid a note under his front door while he was sleeping. It was a clue; the only thing I explicitly stated was: "Follow the breadcrumb trail. When you figure it out, you'll find Clue #2 waiting for you."
All in all, there were five clues/locations, and a friend waiting to give him a small handmade gift and next note/clue. I chose each location based on its significance in our courtship. The first was a park where he'd told me years before that I was going to be his woman one day. The last location was on the street where I first told him I loved him- I was waiting there waiting with his last gift.
I hope that makes sense! Multitasking here, which is pretty dangerous for me. Anyhow, I wish you luck.

Wow Gumshoe! Killing me softly over here. ^^^This is exactly what I was talking about. Very unique to the both of you and shows you put thought into your courtship--(yes I use the word courtship ). Good luck Radio, but I'm sure you'll do fine.

Ps: Each clue was written as a poem. I normally don't condone this kind of behavior, but we're both writers and sentimental freaks. 😉
Awww...the lost art of love.
You know, I worked a Shakespeare camp the last two summers. A mother told us that something made her sad. It was the thought that her daughter would likely never receive a love letter.
I thought about the gravity of that in a world texting, sexting, and facebooking.
Gotta love the people who keep these lost arts precious!
A-men! The love letter needs to be brought back into our everyday life. Truly. There's nothing like it.

+2 I still write my ex in NY. Not an email or text. I sit down, pour out my soul, find a stamp and an envelope and mail a letter. He does the same to reply to whatever I've written or he'll send a simple card to make me smile. I would say it helped me get through school and my exams and many other mini "meltdowns" I was having. Writing and reading a handwritten letter brings about a very different feeling than sitting in front of a screen.

Just came across this thread and was about to advise the same thing. You've noticed her likes and dislikes. What her interests are and has told you the things shes wants to see and do. Work on that.. plan something that will make it both memorable for her and you. I think for her it wont be about where and what, it will be more about the effort you make with her. She will appreciate it soo much. Hope it goes all well for you both x

That's beautiful. You're incredibly fortunate to have that. (Swoons.) I'm so jealous! How long have you been writing each other?
Part of the magic, for me, is seeing someone's handwriting. It feels like they're whispering in your ear. It's gorgeous.click to expand
