Why are Scorpios so restricted?

I don't know if its just the ones I know or if its a common trait. Like for example, the other two water signs are emotional and secretive as well, but are much more open with their feelings and thoughts and etc. I thought Scorpios were much more passionate and would be more open about their wants and express them. From what I've seen, they have a hard time expressing themselves. They are secretive and calculating and are very judgy as well I've noticed. Also sometimes they can be cynical and look at the negative side of everything. Is this more or less accurate?
If its true, then how does one get past this aspect? Because I often feel they are always juding and analyzing stuff but they don't tell you what they're thinking or what they are trying to figure out through their tests. It would be a lot easier if I didn't constantly feel like I'm giving an exam when I'm with them.
I don't know. Some Scorps are pretty chill though..but most are like the kind I described above. What are your thoughts and tips?

i'm not inside...but inside it's all 'feelings' and they don't come with labels or even words adequate to describe them. the crab said to me the other night...'tell me'...i asked what he wanted me to tell him and he just repeated..'tell me'. i'd drunk texted that i loved him a couple of nights before and he said he wanted me to tell him to his face so when he asked me to tell him, i kinda knew what he wanted to hear but i just couldn't say the words....cos i just don't know if what i feel for him is love or if i just care for him or am dependant on him in some way. i guess the closest i can get to expressing it is that i have 'feelings' for him but i have feelings for my doggie lola too lol!!

i know i come across as closed and a little stuck up and very judgemental but i'm really not that way at all which is so frustrating cos i just don't seem able to articulate who i really am inside.

I know a few scorps. My best friends a scorpio, 15years.

Their usually the most evolved out of all the signs in my opinion.

Very understanding and full of compassion when they choose to be.

I wouldn't say scorpio's are judgemental but they do have a set standard

on a lot of things. Maybe the scorpios you make reference to have some virgo influences

in their charts? I find that their pretty good at sensing someones intentions.

So maybe you need to relax more when you're around them?The scorpios i know open up to me.

I think getting them to trust you or feel comfortable around you is key.

Don't interrogate cause thats their job. Just relax around them and be sincere when inquiring

about their personal life.

i am afflicted with virgo rising although i am pretty crap at sensing someone's intentions.

i dunno really. i guess so elle. even trying to write down what i feel about the whole subject is too hard. i'm definitely afraid of something though...i think i just try and avoid being let down to a silly extent. i'm so conscious of the knowledge that with love comes pain. you can't have one without the other it seems.

I hate/kinda like you guys so much!!!! Scorpios are so emotionally blocked. Cancer and Pisces understand the depths of ya'lls emotion. It is really beautiful but you need an enema. GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY!

You call it mirroring but I think at times it's more about when someone reveals/shows you a genuine emotion you are not comfortable with (because it is an emotion) you freak out, get defensive, cause some drama in order to escape those emotions. Like you run interference on yourself. sometimes it's cute but others... not so much

You guys have the ability to love on such a deep level, probably the deepest of any sign but it is wasted somewhat because you keep it all locked up inside. That's why you get with Caps and Virgos so you can deny that part of you and go on burying your feelings for the rest of your life.

I thank GOD for all the Pluto in my chart because I have the PLEASURE of loving that deeply. It is scary I know Scorps.. but it is so worth it. You won't DIE from it, and honestly can't some pleasure be found in all that pain and misery?

I don't have a very hard time saying "I love you" after the first few times it has been said. And seraph, you being here plus the topic made me remember the first time my ex-leo said "I love you." As soon as he said it, he turned away and said, "but not really." So I said, "I love you too, but not really," lol. This describes my Scorp husband. I've been trying to loosen him up for years. He keeps everything locked up inside an almost tangible outer shell. He focuses on the negative aspects of people, and could find the dark side in a rainbow unicorn that farts glitter. I think that seeing the negative in things can be a useful trait, but not ALLLL the time.

we're missing the most important step *drum roll*...the PHOENIX. Oh yes the secretiveness, cold shoulders, and typical lock and key approach to passionate emotional depth...*yawns* we've all been there, the question is where are we heading?

I feel transcending into our higher form is the solution. how the hell do you do that though? when that deep wave of emotion and passion comes to the forefront and yet again there you are restricting that tidal wave of buttery jazz ...just count to three and tree-trunking do it!

this seems to have helped me most with the emotional blocking aspect. TRANSFORMATION...it's our greatest gift and the reason why we have the potential to evolve more so than ALL other signs.

I'm starting to think scorpios pick their battles. Like when that expression comes out it's EXPRESSIVE. Like I almost can't handle it. If it be happiness, love, anger, pain. It's like they hold till it's too heavy and than BOOM. I've been noticing this lately. I mean not all but with some.

So be careful what you wish for lol

And I don't mean that the intensity of the emotion is bad but it's like the way it's delivered to me is very LOUD i guess you could say.

unfortunately i go for the latter option. there's a prolonged silence which i'm meant to fill with the words and then the moment passes. and it's ALWAYS misinterpreted.

no. he just says i'm not capable of love per se but that it doesn't change his feelings. i like that honesty from him. it shows he genuinely means it. PLUS he's not a pushover and so i deffo don't view him expressing his feelings as a sign of weakness.

Ok this is good stuff. I am Sun Scorpio Gemini Moon. I have always been very expressive and kind of just say what I feel. I do have reservations as I have gotten older but it's only because I'm scared to death to get hurt. Every time I've opened up to a guy they seem to run, like they don't know what to do with it or they are scared to be loved. I dunno, it sure is hard to understand and if I had love in return like I give I would already have what I wanted in life. Forever waiting on Mr. Wonderful....
