why can scorpio's be so arrogant?

i want to know why scorpio's tend to be very arrogant and think they are better than everyone else? (im not saying all of them are like that, so don't get the wrong idea)

Hmmmm ....... Is it so much arrogance as confidence. My sister and I had this debate a few years back . What it came down to was the difference between arrogance and confidence. Arrogance is always antagonistic. It is always to somebody elses detriment and is usually used to bolster the antagonists self esteem by belittling the recipient. Confidence on the other hand is self fulfilling. It is the secure frame of mind that comes from ones actual ability and is not contingent on anybody elses shortcomings. In other words it just is , independent of anyone else. Im a scorpio male and I live by the golden rule. I am however acutely aware of my abilities and although I try to sublimate them in order to avoid making anyone feel insecure , I always raise to any occasion that requires my talents. Having said that, I must now present this theory. Although confidence is non-antagonistic, it is possibly percieved as arrogance by those who are dealing with their own insecurities.

I never feel better than others..just confident in my own ability...

Absolutely--I've seen arrogance in all twelve signs. It's very unappealing, and rarely is it justifiable to attach this deplorable quality only to scorps. I am a female scorpio, and I can tell you all that of all the possible negative scorpio traits, arrogance is not one I possess. In fact I can be very self-deprecating.

Also, I completely agree with the male scorp who pointed out that confidence is often mistaken for arrogance, in the eyes of the less confident.
