It all depends, I think. You'll want to try and get some idea of what she's into or interrested in and go from there. For example, if she's a sports fanatic, take her to the next college football game or the batting cages so you guys can hit a few fast ones. If she's into poetry, take her to a jam session. If you're not quite sure; dinner at a restaurant besides a fast food chain should be just fine, that is of course unless she IS a McDonald's fanatic as well=)

I am a very simplistic person so I am sure that McDonald's and a movie would be fine to me. I want to know someone not try to break them by wanting to go somewhere expensive. I dont mind going to play putt putt or even sitting in the car at the lake as long as I am with that person getting to know them that is all that matters.

I think the perfect date would be:
Packing a picknic lunch and spreading a blanket under a tree and eating and just talking and laughing and enjoying someones company.

I think the best first dates are the ones that aren't too contrived...I like the picnic idea, maybe he brings something and you bring something...I like any date that fosters good conversation. Therefore I think I wouldn't like going to a loud concert or club on a first date. I like the idea of a dinner, movie, and then going to the park to chill and talk, or switch that up however you want. I think going to a party (for me) is a bad idea for a first date, because ppl tend to act different at parties and under the influence than they would ordinarily act. However on the other hand, you could get to see their worst side right away...lol.

McDonalds would bother me on a first date...I would at least want to go to Burger Kind instead. LOL, just kidding. I think it's fine to go wherever seems like a good idea to both people. I like it when both people bring up their ideas and then compromise to decide on the destination.
