So I go to the gym and I notice the same group of people at the same time, and most people put effort into their gym clothes. Mine are boring so I was buying some more, I wont say which brand, but then I looked on a body building type forum and they were slagging the brand off saying they are expensive and for posey people. I don't find it expensive and I would use it anyway, so I don't mind. I notice if people are wearing nice gear, do you? Do you ever look at people in the gym and think they are posey? I know it's not a night club obviously. But do you think it's worth making an effort for the gym? The alternative would be to find cheap t-shirts which wouldn't fit as well, so I think my mind is made up. But I'm interested what other people think. I'm single, and gym could be a potential meeting place, so wearing clothes that fit makes sense. And the women all wear clothes that fit well, and most of the guys.

I don't go to the gym yet but I will be buying nice gym clothes. It feels nice looking good, and it's also nice to know you've got good quality clothing (like workout clothes that have great breathability, stretch, durability, good for bloodflow, support, etc). I don't care about what other people see me in, I just like knowing I got nice things for myself - it's also a good reward for working out or anything else. My friend rewards herself with expensive gym clothes once she reaches certain goals.

I don't think it really matters what you decide, it's up to every individual and how they feel personally. I guess some people at gyms are judgey, but it doesn't really matter what they think because you're there to keep your body in shape and stay healthy.

I wear any comfortable work out clothes, I don't care about brand names, I'm there to work out not to worry about brands. As long as I look decent & clean I'm
Good ‰
That's all that matters anyway- it being comfortable. That was something we covered in our intro classes- people think working out has to be expensive because you have to buy special clothes and shoes, when the reality is no, not really. Wear what you're comfortable with that allows you to move freely.

Although Sometimes people want to impress at gyms they dress in expensive gear brand names because they go to the gym with other intentions other than working out. Their goal is to meet someone fit because I hear that's a good place to meet healthy people who treasure their health and body. Regardless the reason behind going to the gym, you shouldn't spend a fortune to look nice

No, some people are just that desperate to meet someone new that they use the gym as a pick up spot. It's annoying and a waste of space for the people who use it for its real intention.
