Now for some hockey. With the Washington Capitals being the cream of the crop sitting atop the Eastern Conference and the league with 118 points as to date. They will be the team to beat. The Caps have pretty much locked up the Presidents' Trophy and will be the Number 1 seed. Who they will play we will have to wait and see. As of right now The Boston Bruins and New York Rangers are fighting for the eighth seed while all the other playoff bound teams, both the Western and Eastern Conferences, will now jockey for position.

As fo right now my picks of ECC Would be Washington and my pick for WCC would be a toss up between Chicago and Vancouver. Although I think the Detroit Red Wings will be a favourite for most also. My darkhorse pick would be the Phoenix Coyotes for WCC.

okay, after watching the Raptors go through their painstakingly slow, and at times comical performances to successfully not make the playoffs after having an uneasy lead in 5th place in the East, I'm excited to see some quality FIRST ROUND NBA matchups. Congratulations to the Joakim Noah and the Bulls for earning their way into the 8th spot and getting to go down in history as the first team Lebron James and the Cavs beat on their way to their 1st NBA title.

WEST
Lakers over OKC in 5 or 6
Dallas over San Antonio in 6 or 7
Phoenix over Portland in 5
Denver over Utah in 7

EAST
Orland over Charlotte in 4 or 5
Atlanta over Milwaukee in 5 or 6
Miami over Boston in 6 or 7
Cavs over Bulls in 4 or 5

SECOND ROUND

LAKERS over NUGGETS in 7
DALLAS over PHX in 7

CAVS in 5
MAGIC in 6

CONFERENCE FINALS

CAVS in 6 vs. MAGIC
MAVS in 7 vs. LAKERS, or in 5 vs. any other team

NBA CHAMPS

a well-rested CAVS teams in 5

I feel bad that I couldn't have been here to comment some more on the playoffs. I spent a good chunk actually at the games hahahaha! It's a pretty crazy time of year for me but seems like there are a whole lot of upsets in hockey and the NBA playoffs are going on as planned except for the Denver/Jazz Series which was pretty much 50/50. The Suns and Spurs have a rematch from a few years back and the Lakers are most likely going to win against the Jazz. Although Utah has a pretty scrappy team and they could muster up enough of a challenge to take them to a game 7.

Who would have seen Montreal taking it in 7 against the Almighty Capitals? That series was bananas and all the trash talk was hilarious. Great series.Philly beating New Jersey was pretty good too. Seeing as how a couple of Philly's top players were out with injuries. I thoroughly enjoyed the Phoenix/Detroit games. Those were amazing and watching Zetterberg and Datsyuk do their thing owning the ice.

The second round for both sports right now and I don;t think I'll have the time to be here for that much yet either. People keep giving me these damn tickets hahahaha! Anyway, I'm glad I managed to at least get something in.

Hey DK! ((eWaves))

I've watched most of the games in the NBA series (except Portland & these Atlanta Hawks - blech). I have to say (and yes, I'm biased), but the Oklahoma vs. Lakers was by far the best series thus far. I watched a limited amount of the Hawks vs. Orlando - joke! Most are fairly entertaining, but while I watched this young group of kids playing for Oklahoma, my heart swooned for them and I'm a LAKER GIRL! I know that in about 2-3 years, they are just going to be ridiculous (as long as the coaching staff doesn't mess up their chemistry by trades, etc). Durant and Westbrook are just stellar. I look forward to watching them play for years to come. San Antonio...wish they would just go away. I know everyone (well, not everyone, but a lot of people) have a hard on for a Lakers vs. Cavs showdown, but I really don't...but as you know, I still want my Lakers to be present; whomever they play 🙂

I don't blame you or anyone for liking the OKC/LA matchup. Everyone I know wanted the Thunder to win that one. It was an exciting series and not to mention the Lakers played like shit the first few games then finally decided to show up near the end there. Everyone other matchup was a bore because you kind of already knew who would win to begin with.

San Antonio needs to lose. Goddamn are they boring to watch. I want the Suns to win after the debacle from the last playoffs when Horry took out Nash. And the fact that Nash is my boy! Two Time MVP!

I actually want a Suns Jazz final. I don't know why but I want to see that.

Anybody else get the feeling that it'll be a Blackhawks/Flyers Final in the NHL? That would be an exciting matchup that would. Both are very young teams too.

The Lakers are steamrolling the Suns right now. Ugghh... yucky, I really want Nash to win a ring this year.

Same here man. I want Steve Nash, and Grant Hill (former Piston baby), and Amarie and Gordon (he was a bad ass with the Spurs after Nash had to get his eye checked).

OMG, Nash so deserves a ring, who the hell else would play with only one eye :O!!! Not Kobe, Not Anthony. Nope Nash is in a league all his own. They better win tomorrow night ....

Love Nash, but I don't know if the Suns will be able to pull it off; I could be wrong, and anything can happen because they are only down 2 games behind. Other than that, you already know I love the Lakers 🙂. I'm disappointed in the Magic, because I just expected more from them, and that's not to say that they've been blown out or anything (because they haven't) but I just thought they would have had a more impressive and stronger showing. I think it's not so much that they underestimated the Celts, but more that they manhandled the Hawks so dominantly that they may have taken at least one win at home for granted. As we see...you can't take ANYTHING for granted. Also, I think that since the Lakers had to play so tough to win in their last series, they were ready to play hard and they just have come out swinging. The Suns hung in there in game 2, but could just not get over that hurdle. Will the Suns will at least one game at home? Likely. Will they will this series? Probably not.

Grant Hill is a walking miracle right now. After toiling away in Orlando he's finally made it onto a good team. I remember Game 6 in the Western Semis he went up and blocked Jerryd Bayless' dunk attempt and I fucking exploded! Kept yelling "Son, old man river just blocked yo young ass! Sit the fuck down! Sit the fuck down!" G-Hill definitely turned back the clock on that play. Nash is goddamn beast! Played several games with one eye and then had his nose busted up and pushed it back in place. Warrior like that deserves a ring!

Here's to hoping! I'm ok with having another Celts/Lakers final again just to renew the rivalry and all that but, man..., it's Steve Nash! He got robbed of a third MVP so he should at least get a ring for that. Hahahahahaha!

I'm not all that surprised that the Magic are playing so badly against the Celtics. With the emergence of Rondo(RONDOOOOOOOOOOO!!!) and Big Baby playing like he's KG himself there's really no stopping them. Not to mention the overall team defense and heart and desire the Celts have over Orlando. They just want it more. When you stop to think about it the Orlando offense is predicated on dumping the ball into the post and then kicking it back out for 3's. Dump, kick, dump, kick. it's not that hard to defend. All you have to do is double Dwight if the occasion calls for it then have your defense rotate and pick up the open man and ta-da shut down D!

I have no idea what happened to the Hawks. I had such high expectations going into the playoffs that this team would go farther. Let's not fault them for having no low post presence either. Their Center was Al Horford! Put Horford up against Howard and Howard eats him alive nine times out of ten.

OMG RIGHT! Grant Hill is the shit right now, basically because he got on a good team and he got his 'groove' back 😉 Yep, I remember that block too! They were talking about it on ESPN online but you know there has to be a bunch of those wonderful haters that come and say rotten things about Grant but whatever with them.

Nash is a freaking beast, no one can deny that!!!!! I've been in his corner for years and now its time for him and the others on the Suns to get a ring.

Game 5 was a monster! It almost went into overtime if it wasn't for that damn Ron Artest haha, it's so funny, he almost went done in history for pulling one of the stupidiest moves in the NBA playoffs but he redeemed himself and I was crushed. I wanted to Suns to get it. I would feel better if this was a Game 7 and not a Game 6 ....

Oh crap?!?! It is Thursday! Fuck... I had all this crap set up for tonight hahahahah!!! It's all good I can wait until the 3rd.

Nothing like a friendly rivalry to get things going! I hope Artest reverts to his old self and starts chucking threes from nowhere again. The man cannot shoot consistently at all. I'm saying it's going to go 7 games with the Celts winning it over the Lakers again. Rondo's going to cut up Fisher! Break his ankles all game!

DAMN YOU DK! (LOL) Yeah, friendly rivalry is never bad. I get it, the Lakers are like the Yankees - either you love em' or you hate em' there is no in between, and that's the way I like it! I am NO fence straddler (usually)! I think you are right about the 7 games, but I beg to differ on the outcome. It's about damn time Rondo brought his ass to the dance ready to play...I'm not sayin...I'm just sayin...😉

Say Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuttt?!?!? Rondo's been bringing it all season long. It's on now! It is ON! Can't wait for it to start now! I'M PUMPED!!!!

No, I wasn't talking this season, I was speaking of 2008! I must (begrudgingly) admit that he's brought it this year; specifically the playoffs. Can you believe they were thinking of getting rid of Ray Allen! I'm sure the coaching staff is sitting back thinking, "WTF were we smokin'!" LMAO!

Bring it home Glen. Bring it home. Watching him yell his ass off while drooling made my night. Him and Nate rob are like Shrek and donkey! Hahahahahhaahah! I'm going to get piss ass drunk tonight!

LMAO @ Shrek and donkey comment xD!

They are good together and that yell by Big Baby was epic! Damn it all to hell, I want BOSTON to take it all!!!! I wish Rajan Rondo was more seasoned to go up against Kobe -- that would be heaven right there.
