Why do people rely on Tarot so much?

I understand what you're saying but tarot is not meant to be relied upon per se. It's supposed to be a guide of sorts. Advice, or feeling out the current energies.

For me, 9 times out of 10, it has been creepily accurate. But that shit picks up my energy so easily. I don't know why. Even if I don't ask a personal question because I don't want to put myself out there like that, it picks up on my personal issues. lol.

There's no way I'll ever find the right fit because it's virtually impossible to make a genuine believer out of me unless he/she possesses paranormal abilities I can see and feel.

I get a reading done at least once a year on my birthday.
Ive had some really good readings. Although at the time, i dont believe in what they say but when it's realized i am in awe.

I have a friend who is a reader, and has been getting mental images and 'feelings' about things happening since she was a child.
She is excellent and has been reading for over 20 years. When I first went to her it was for a fundraiser and I just thought, what the heck. That woman told me all about my life, the ages and sexes of the people in it, a love triangle that was going on, and what was going to happen soon.
Holy crap if she wasn't dead on. It wasn't like I made an appointment and she looked me up beforehand. Now we're good friends and sadly, she doesn't read for me anymore because she knows all about me and we feel that the knowledge she has confuses the readings.
She gave me a reading, and we were talking about a friend of mine last fall.
Her: Where is he right now?
Me: NYC
Her: Mmm, you sure?
Me: Yes. I heard from him today. Why?
Her: I don't think he is. He told you where he was?
Me: No! He sent a picture, he was standing on Central Park West. What's up?
Her: I see the Hollywood sign, and him. You sure he didn't fly to LA for work?
Me: Omg stop. I know for a fact he's in NYC.
Her: Okay, well, he's going to LA soon. For an extended visit, I feel.
December comes, he and I are on the phone, and he says, I know we just talked about starting a relationship but I have to tell you that I've decided to go to LA for three months.
And that's how her shit works. I have sent at least eight women to her and six out of eight have had things in their readings "validated" - meaning she said, he'll call you in the next three weeks, or, you'll be in a serious relationship by July, or, watch out, his ex girlfriend is going to call you and try to get you involved in a drama, or, he's going to tell you he's not coming but don't believe him; stay at the bar, he's going to show up (funny how the pattern is most women asking about relationships, lol).

You are soooo right. But..... Sometimes I use this method to calm down my mind. it's like when different options are equally bad or good, or maybe I am of low energy, or maybe I am too old and wise to see difference between the alternative ways,
in that case,
it is for me organizing and relaxing to use tarot.
I don't have any cards at home. so I use the online community.
I don't think I'd do it if it were for matters of importance. or if I knew 100% what I want. or where I am at.
whether angles or higher existences talk to me? I donno.

To say I'm sceptical it would be an understatement. Too much info is available online and much of it is conflicting. Too much yarn spinning, not enough straight answers. Yet so many people around the world make life choices solely based on what the cards show.
I consider that to be utter madness. It's on the same level as religion as far as I'm concerned; zero concrete proof of its authenticity. I mean, if the tarot reader could throw fire from his/her hands and teleported around the place, I could give the reading the benefit of a doubt.
But all it is is deck shuffling and pulling random cards out and voila, people act like it's written in stone. Why? And furthermore, anyone can do it. It's definitely nothing like magic where you have to be adequately skilled in spell casting to pull it off.
