Have you noticed that Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius are all fixated in one way or another? They are all resistant to change, whether in the realm of ideas (Aquarius), their self-importance (Leo) or emotional resentments (Scorpio). All these signs have one thing in common — being fixed signs. They??re all stubborn, just in different ways. What makes Taurus take the cake, though, is that the Bull is an earth sign. Compared to the other elements (water, fire, air), earth is the most reserved and cautious. Earth signs (which also include Virgo and Capricorn) need to see the goods to feel secure — cold, hard cash; a plotted graph; a dust-free cabinet. When you mix fixed with earth, you get Taurus — the most stubborn sign of the zodiac. Taurus doesn't want to let go (fixed) of any of his possessions (earth), and wants things to stay just as they are, thank you very much.

So, how do you get him to do anything? Venus provides the key. The planet of love, money and art is the ruler of Taurus. The Bull is a pleasure-hound, and will be roused out of his laziness if there's a reward to be had. The reward, mind you, must be physical — praise won't cut it. A deep massage, sexual favors, rich food, sweets, money — whatever it takes to bribe Taurus into taking a course of action. Learn the principles of behaviorism to develop an effective schedule of reinforcement. You know: rat gets pellet of food when it hits a lever.

I know it's not easy. If Taurus has dug his heels regarding an issue important to you — such as his willingness to spend Christmas with your parents — then it may take some creativity and persistence to find the right carrot to get your donkey walking.

I'm pretty much the same way too, Tauruswtf; although, I have strong wanderlust, and I can pick up and be on a plane in a moments notice - literally. I know that tendency is not shared by most Taureans, but I love to travel. Now, with regular day to day functions, or anything that I may not to present or have my ish together, I prefer MUCHO preparation. I abhor looking like an a $ $ when I'm supposed to know what I'm doing. I'm ok with looking like one when I'm not supposed to know what I'm doing though 😉 LOL!

You can't push a Bull and you can't pull a Bull. What you can do is place something tasty in the corner of the field that you want to Bull to go to. Then wait patiently while the Bull slowly stirs itself and meanders across the field, stopping regularly on the way to munch clumps of grass and sniff cow pats, while all the time pretending not to notice the incentive that you have placed in the other corner of the field for it. When the Bull finally reaches the point where you want it to be it??ll probably express surprise at its discovery, like it didn't know all along what was there waiting for it, or it??ll find a way of implying that the decision to relocate to another corner of the field was its all along. Whatever, once you??ve got the Bull where you want it, grab it by the horns and hop on!

Giving this bull plenty of advance notice cuts waaaay down on my tendency to dig my heels in against an idea.

i'm the opposite. maybe it's the aries influences? if you give me too much notice i'm much more likely to say no. if you just show up and say, "let's" go, i'm more likely to come with. to much time to think will almost always result in my saying now. and if i do decide to do whatever, it will be at the last minute and i will be late...even when i tried *really* hard to be on time.

Yep. It took me a while to figure it out, but 16 years is some hard time to do with a Bull and I eventually figured it out. To this day, he will say to me "I dont know why I dont just listen to what you say in the first place, you always end up knowing whats best for me." DER...... lol. I still dont think he knows that I do it on purpose. Then he would think I actually have him figured out. Imagine that!

I got it done in Oregon, I cant remember the name of the shop and if I remember correctly, that tattoo ran me about 350 $ which is fairly cheap. The best way to find a new artist isnt even by looking at what they offer in the shops, just check your freinds out or even approach a stranger with some work you like and see where they went, this has served me well in the past anyways.

350—? damn, you must've gotten the military discount because that is insanely cheap.

i'm not sure what i want yet. want one of the ones on my abs redone to something else and would be nice if it could wrap around the back too so i might be close to a grand easy. gonna wait until after i have kids to get it done though. not sure what happens when a tat gets stretched out. either way, nice work.
