How much patience are we talking here? Because he is an old time friend I recently reconnected with about a year ago. And I have been studying him. A lot. Which is why I am confused. He's a very private person, but he's shared some intimate details with me that his friends do not know.

Tl;dr: Dated a couple months; lost his job, kept his distance, but kept in contact.
Fast forward to now we've been keeping in contact since then and he invited me to an event, first time in a couple months. It's an event he's always enjoyed going every year. I've never been so this was my first time, but I enjoyed it and we had fun. I can't tell if he is trying to reinitiate a spark or if it was just friendship. The chemistry is still there. And he paid for both our tickets to this event; usually a sign of a date. He seems to be doing better and starting his new job this month. But is this typical of a Taurus male? To rekindle? I read they're straightforward and once their mind is made up the decision is final. I'd also like to reiterate that we've never slept together. I'm observing it for now so I haven't asked him yet. I also think it too soon with what he's been going through lately.
