I feel like this is my kinda board because I love

"man-stuff"!! Cars, tools, suits, gadgets, you name it!!

Anyhow, my question is: you have saved 40k in cash. What car will you get? You don't have to spend all money since you might think that another car for 23.5k is an awesome purchase but you can't go above your 40k cash.

Hi. I would look online for a good deal on a used car. You can get a high end car for a low price, you may just have to travel for it. That's what my friends did to get their infinity and now they have a mercedes. I know another person who bought a bmw 540 this way.

I think I for sure will go with a used car as I normally don't like new things but I cannot for the life of me decide on a make and model :-/ I do have a certain amount of love and/or lust for war-looking things...the uglier the better. Perhaps a raggedy Jeep?

What is the budget for maintence and upkeep?

Oh and insurance?

New or Classic?

Assuming I already have a car, and the 40 grand cannot be used for anything else other than a car, I'd look for a classic muscle car from the late 60s early 70s, preferably with as much original parts as possible.
