Never in my life would I have expected this to happen. Now before you think this is a "dear Penthouse forum" post, its about brewing. Read on if you're into that.
Being a homebrewer, I've been planning out the meads I would like to try out either for their unusual character or because I've sampled them at brewing competitions and really liked them. I was in a store that carries a pretty good selection of beer, wine, and liquor. Casually perusing the shelf, it was if someone had been reading my mind, for on the shelf were situated these three items:
Tupelo mead Blue honey melomel (mead made from blueberry honey) Spiced apple cyser
All three of these were on my list of meads to brew. The only one on that list I have not sampled before is the tupelo mead.
Disclaimer - Haven't sampled them yet, but they are calling my name on the shelf. I'll give my opinions as I work through them. In the meantime, the outfit is "Crafted Artisan Meadery" out of Mogadore, Ohio. For any mead afficianados, keep an eye out or ask. I'm not sure how far and wide they distribute.
One correction. The melomel is not blueberry honey, but most likely mead made with honey and blueberry juice/extract. But the end result should be similar.
