Since this died a painful death, can I use it to ask if any of you guys actually study/practice a martial art or hand to hand combat? Muay Thai or Krav Maga in particular.

Yeah. I do Krav Maga, a friend of mine who was in the IDF gladly taught me the ropes of it. Jesus, its brutal. The whole concept of krav Maga is centered around killing. Nothing more nothing less. Compared to Silat, they gotta be the two most deadliest martial arts out there. Muay Thai? I've heard of it. The Art of the Eight Limbs. Basically using your elbows and knees in the fight. I already have a good kick and knee. I use my knee the most in soccer so I'm on the path lol.

My thing is that my gym offers both, but I'm pressed for time and can only do one. I've taken a handful of Krav classes and really like it. I've heard Muay Thai is the better workout and has it's own merits too tho. I'm wondering, from a purely practical perspective (modern day, actual self defense), which I'll get the most out of. A girl can't be too careful these days.

Shoot no one can be too careful these days. Especially when I go out to Greensboro. That city is big and walking around there at night is pretty scary for some. I never trust the people I walk by and I'm quick to move out their way so they'll keep their hands out of my pocket or think twice about pulling a knife or gun out. But overall I like Greensboro better than Asheboro. Better people, better stores, better variety, not as closed minded. Fucking love it.
