I have not dated anyone for over a year. I am honestly content being on my own. I am not really looking. I am just making things happen and I am just in a great space in life and pretty content being single lady. So my friend (divorced) has been doing online dating and convinced me to sign up on this website. So against my better judgement I sign up. I started chatting with this nice looking Aries man after he messaged me. So he asks me out on a date on Friday (today) no real notice. I tell him I can't i have company in town in which I do and I am going to a concert on Sunday. I gave him my number and suggested we plan something down the road and keep getting to know one another. I suggested he go check out a music festival going on in our area. The dude flips out on me and tells me thanks I get the hint ....and thanks for suggesting how he can meet other women. I was like WTF— 1) never met or even talked to the dude 2) who does that with someone they barely know?? I told him if this is his style it is best he does move on because drama is not a match for me.

I have never really had good luck dating online. I am so glad I only paid for one month of drama rama site. Perfectly waste of a good $ 30. I could have gone for a pedicure.

WTH is wrong with people??

First off, lol at that guy. Literally EVERYONE is on the internet these days, including crazies, so you're bound to encoutner some now and then.

"I am honestly content being on my own. I am not really looking. I am just making things happen and I am just in a great space in life and pretty content being single lady."

So why did you sign up? Are you WANTING an actual relationship? Because a paid site is more intended for people who are really serious about finding someone, and it sounds like you're pretty content as you are. But for casual dating why not just use a free one?
One of those things your GF'S are doing it and having fun ao why not. This was not fun. :-/ If relationships entail this kind of crap....think I will stay on my own and continue to just meet people the old fashioned way. I am in no hurry let's put it that way. I am open and really want a relationship if f I meet someone fantastic, but not desperate enough to settle for crap like this.

Thanks for the suggestion Littlemegabyte. Part of me thinks maybe I should wait until I specifically know what it is I am looking for. I dated last aries guy for 1.5 yr and that was wonderful until I found out about side GF. 😢 I met him on POF.

IDK maybe if I really am honest and look at it....just maybe I have become cynical about relations since that experience. You know when you work so hard to get yourself in a great place I just don't want anything to ruin that. I finally feel secure enough and okay with being alone. Part of me wants relations but I just don't know if I am rdy for the headaches. lol The mind games, the jealousy, mama drama, fights, control stuff, etc..

I think just some guy friends would be nice to watch football, go to live sporting events, help out with handy things, travel together, have dinner and movies with, bbq, date for holiday parties.

Maybe I will try ok cupid but after this month I think it is break time again. lol

Maybe part of me is really just down right scared to like someone too much and having my heart broken.

I've been on quite a few dating sites. It's definitely not worth paying for. If anything, use the free sites. There shouldn't be too much of a difference. I met my fiance on a dating site. I've also had mostly good conversations with all kinds of people. I also noticed most of the guys who were on there or talking to me were gemini, sagittarius, and aquarius. So, maybe online dating attracts certain signs more than others? Not sure. Anyway, I have also met my e-stalker from a dating site and have had some people flip out when I didn't respond quick enough for them. So, there's good and bad to it.

I personally think dating sites are better, though, since I met people I would have never met otherwise. Also, it was good to know a little bit about the person before meeting. If we didn't have much in common, we knew before meeting. So, there wasn't much time wasted. But, I suppose it's not for everyone. Especially older generations that have not grown up with technology. It is a good alternative, though.
