Virgo decan 1 is ruled by the Sun. The sun navigates through the constellations of the Great bear, the Dragon and the Sextans from August 23 to September 2. Virgo decan 1 is an odd section of the zodiac since it carries mostly stars that are far from the ecliptic except for just one alpha star in Sextans. These people are a little more —far out?? than your average Virgos so that they almost flip over to their opposite in Pisces. These seers usually develop their sensitivity after a period of suffering, dutiful caring and even a broken heart. You will see that none of the stars here are particularly easy or —fun?? in any sense at all. It doesn't mean that these folk are always dour or miserable, (though some can be fantastic Victor Meldrews) they just won't be your happy, clappy type. Instead Virgo decan 1 has an ironic, dry sense of humour. They are also good at turning very tragic situations into something humorous.
Virgo decan 2 is ruled by Venus. The Sun navigates through the constellations of the Lion, the Great Ship, the Great Bear and the hunting hounds from September 3 to September 12. Most of the stars here have a Saturn/Venus nature, which is going to make them all rather bittersweet. Saturn gives Venus a bleeding heart, but it can also make this person somewhat of a masochist. Virgo decan 2 can push people away and then wonder why those people sometimes stay away. They seem to need to test their partner??s backbones and push them to the limits. Only the strongest will stay, if there is something worth staying for otherwise they could be masochists themselves. The Persephone myth then, turns up here, just as Virgo decan 1 becoming even richer and darker. This Venus ruled decan is more like Babylonian Istar, the goddess of love and war.
Virgo decan 3 is ruled by Mercury. The Sun sails through the Lion, the Air Pump, the Great Ship, the Cup and the Great Bear from September 13 to 22. Here we find the famous sharp minds, researchers, perfectionists and organisers. There are some harsh and unfortunate stars here associated with natural disasters and death alongside the holy grail and the ships bellowing sails. It is fitting that this decan of Virgo contains such sharp contrasts since it is ruled by Mercury the mediator between the earth and the underworld. It's very black and white here.
Some of the decan traits can be difficult to isolate because of how any given placement, but particularly the Sun, is augmented by its aspects. Logically though, I can agree with some of the descriptions from your source. It makes sense to me that a first decan Virgo would share a few traits with Leo due to some cusp bleedover, and third decan with Libra for that same reason.
I think I also agree with the planetary rulers from your source more. The way I understand it, the first decan of any sign is supposed to be "pure" and ruled by that sign's ruler, so rightfully Mercury should be in that position for the first decan. I've also seen Venus listed as the third decan ruler before and it makes sense to me from my own anecdotal observations as a third decan Virgo.
^^Yeahp! So true! But honestly, I've figured most of my emotions are Leo Moon-driven. What I feel is what my Leo Moon feels. LOL. The only emotion I get from Virgo is "worry." I've always had anxiety issues from before. I think, all that seem settled now.
Btw, I've tried the novena of Mother Teresa. It worked to me. Very stress-relieving and very therapeutic. I think it might work with any Virgo since Mother Teresa is a Virgo herself. You might as well try it if you're a Catholic. It's worth it. 🙂
It's hard for me to differentiate between decan influences and the influences of placements/aspects...
But from what I can tell-
1st decan Virgos are the extra moral, trustworthy virgos. Almost too their detriment, like they're generally kind, considerate and more evolved than most human beings, so they get hurt and taken advantage of a lot. Very kind, open eyes.
2nd decan Virgos are more controlling, strong willed and assertive. They tend to remind me a bit of Capricorns, but that could be placements...They seem extra Virgo-ish to me, like more OCD, more neurotic, more perfection oriented.lol They make great bosses and mentors! Although not as moral and scrupulous as the other decans, in my experiences. Piercing gazes.
3rd decan Virgos are incredibly shy. Great artists, in my experiences. Can come across as eager to be liked or to please, which can be misconstrued as fake. There's something very Pisces-like about them. I can't quite put my finger on it, almost as if there's a sort of vulnerability they give off. They have puppy-like eyes. I could've sworn two 3rd decan Virgos I met were Taurus' with those eyes.lol
