Je peux parler a francais un peu, mais je le peux compendre et lire.
I think it roughly translates to:
"I can speak french a little, but I can comprehend and read it.
I took French for five years and I'm still working on becoming fluent.
I used to live in Germany so I have a general idea of german, but, I've forgotten most of it. I have family in Germany, so I'm making them teach me for future purposes. I was back there in the winter and I could say a phrase every now and then like when I went shopping.
I've been to the Czech Republic too, but it was years ago. Back when it was still Czechoslovakia. It's beautiful!

I also meant to add that languages are something I'm really passionate about, and I'm trying to become fluent in french and german as well as hebrew, but it's going to take a lot of time (which I don't seem to have lol. Thank God for Rosetta stone).

Donde est?? la llave?
I never used this myself, but I learned it before going to spain. It means "where's the key?" I never lost my hotel key on that trip tho, oddly enough.
Posted by TG
You can also say "He perdido mi llave" wich means "I lost my key".

I went to Barcelona. I had a great time and I also want to go back and stay there forever. Unfortunatelly have a life over here, so can't do that.
I want to go to central spain next time, I heard it's very beautiful and authentic, not meny tourists, infact might just hide this post to not give people any ideas. Hopefully will get paralized o something there so I won't be able to leave. I want to live in the desert, but I could see myself living in any part of Spain really. 🙂

Hey you!
It's a mini vacation and I'm gonna be there for x-mas so that means no gifts for the family...nieces and nephews included. lol. I'm converting the U.S. dollar so I'm definitely going to get more bang for my buck in the Republic so I'll make it up to them with souvenirs.
Oh come on, C. I know you got something in you. Don't you speak Espanol—?click to expand

Very nice. Heard it's a pretty big city.
I know what you mean about living there. I actually felt quite at ease and comfortable. My hotel was situated in a working class neighborhood and it was nice to see all of the salmon and all of the other bright colored buildings. I did a combination trip and went there directly after spending a few days in Paris. When I got off the plane, I was so intrigued to be surrounded by a culture of people who had darker hair, eyes and skin.
Yeah, the buildings, the people, everything is so exotic. It's not just a flashy tourist city at all, it feels prettu authentic still. They people over there seem to have alot of style , I thought they were really cool actually. Everything about Barcelona is so damn tasteful and esthetically beautiful. That guy Gaudi, he sure dis know how to draw buildings. We went to see those houses, I forgot theirnames, I think they were called Casa Mil?? and Familia something something... and were stunned! The shapes, the details, what a work! And the whole city feels kind of gothic-like somehow. I was also very intrigued tbh. It was beautiful.click to expand

Haha, Yep, we??re pretty chill. 🙂
You know what tho, I became friends with a virgo girl recently, and turns she's pure bliss. The wierd part is that when I first met her I thought "She's probably a virgo". She's overly ambitious, anxious and 100% focused on the work. I LOVE working with people like that!! 🙂

Parlo un po' l'italiano
literally "I speak a little the Italian(language)" Italian to literal English translation makes for funny sounding sentences lol. Anywho, I'm learning Italian currently as part of my college edu-ma-cation. I'm planning on tackling Japanese next. I think learning more than one language is very important these days, especially here in the US with so many different people.

Hmm, maybe overcompensation for not being fun and socially skilled.. Idk really why we are a bit workoholic, lol.
You said it I didn't.
VV I gotta go. Talk later? Good night! 🙂

LOL @ edu-ma-cation.
Ooohhh Japanese. Now that's a first. Never heard anyone say they were learning Japanese. Have you been to Italy SRV? Interesting. It's like everyone puts an AH sound at the end of their words. For instance: youAH, weAH, whyAH. It's the open-AH sound. It's so weird but cute.click to expand

Haha, I've never been to Italy but I'll probably plan a trip within the next year or so. It's a pretty straight-forward language. There is a bit of inflection, emphasis on vowels and changing the ending of words to fit the subject of sentences(which can be nerve-wracking sometimes)click to expand
Oh please go. Since it's your first trip, you could do a 'classic Italy' where you hit Venice, Florence and Rome. You could also make room for Tuscany. Definitely get out to Venice (and wear rain boots). The damn city is literally sinking underground.

I almost forgot to mention. There's a site called SharedTalk(which is some sort of free Rosetta Stone affiliate). It allows you to talk to people from around the world and make language exchanges(you can speak to them to give them the gist of conversational English and of course they'll help you with their native language). There are text chat and voice chat features. It's pretty awesome and very helpful.

Dear, are you Turkish?! Not that I am, but I was born in Turkey. Apparently I was speaking Turkish when I was a baby, lol.

Posted by CancerMoon
Wow, Candeh you were born in Turkey? Where?
My mother is half Turkish (half Russian) but was born and raised in Turkey.
I visit the Turkish riviera almost every summer. The weather is just awesome!

I was born in Adana, but I lived in Ankara for a year before we moved back to the states and went to live in Germany.
That's kind of how I am with Germany. I don't visit every summer, but now that I have family over there, we try to visit. I'm actually going back this spring! I'd love to visit Turkey though. I don't have much memory of it besides the pictures I have.
Adana... 😄
Adanam Adanam memleketim/ Bereketli topragim/ Toroslardan rahmetle akan Seyhan irmagim....
do you know that song?
My family lives west of Adana. Some of them also live in Ankara. Was your father in the military?
I live in Germany by the way!
born and bred 🙂
Why are you visiting Germany in spring? If your lucky the weather will be acceptable buut... the weather is so shitty right now I don't really have much hope xDclick to expand

Ooh PRAGUE!
Hi CM,
Yes, I will be there for a few days during this Christmas Holiday and I'm very excited. I don't have any tours yet booked but I will definitely do a "Prague at Night" a "Ghost Tour" and visit the home of Franz Kafka. I'm prepared to take many pics, eat lots of soup and explore, explore, explore.
It's wonderful that you speak these languages. Ancient Greek? Sweet. I find the German language to be extremely fascinating. When will you return to Prague?
Posted by wgamador
Sometimes. LMFAO!! I don't lie.

French
Tu es pour moi la plus belle!
Spanish
Para mi tu eres la/el mas hermosa/so!
English
To me you are the most beautiful!
I am fluent in 3 languages, can have basic conversations in a 4th one...and know some important phrases in some few others. I love learning new languages. Good subject VV! I think we should all, at the very least, speak two languages, especially as globalization increases...
Have a great time in your trip friend and learn lots of sweet and meaningful phrases...and of course some few silly ones. 😉

Ahhh this makes me so happy and excited!
Ahhh not too much. I was probably too young. I had a nanny though, so I wouldn't be surprised if she sang it too me. My mother was in the military. She met my father in Ankara (he's also in the military), and needless to say, I was produced lol. We then moved to Germany because my mother started working at the embassy. I lived in Bonn then. I was back in the winter because I have family living in Weiden. By family, I mean my brother and his wife (my sister in law who is 100% german). They live in Bamberg now but her mother is still in Weiden. I'm going back in spring because they'll be having a baby! Where in Germany do you live, CM?
My sister has been telling me the same thing. It was bitterly cold during Christmas, but I'm hoping it'll be warmer. She tried to make me come out in the summer because the weather was better, but I didn't have the time. :/
Hey, that's interesting! I don't really know where Weiden is. No, wait....I just googled it. Oh! Bavaria, nice 😉
Maybe the weather will be better down there. I am from Berlin, the biggest and greatest city in Germany ;P
You should visit Berlin sometime. It's really nice here, especially during the summer.click to expand

Candeh, I've never been to Bamberg but I heard great things about that town.

Wow, looks like a picture of Prague! xD
I will definitely visit Bamberg someday, but German cities are just so damn expensive.click to expand
Yeahhh I know lol. I think that's why I only bought a brat that day, and even that had been like... ehh 5 euro I think lol.

Ooh PRAGUE!
There is also a Kafka-museum! 😉
He is one of my favourite authors, so of course I also went to see his grave at the Jewish graveyard.
There is just so much to see and do in this city. Don't forget to go to the Mucha exhibition!! They have some of his greatest works there.
I'll probably return to Prague around Christmas (if I have enough money then). But it is not that expensive.
Maybe you'll learn German someday , VV. Then you should read Kafka in original! Just amazing!click to expand
CM,
I will definitely do my best to get to the Mucha exhibition and I already have plans to visit Kafka's grave. As far as expensive, I was really shocked at just how much bang I could get for my buck. Not like when I went to England. Jesus goodness that place is expensive.
I have never read one of Kafka's books but that's on my bucket list as well.

fellow Virgos (and friends) are you learning or have learned any languages besides your primary? Do you speak fluently? Other than English, I'm pretty ok with Spanish and I always try to learn common words/phrases whenever I take an international trip.
Can you give me a phrase in another language and translate to english. Oh and uh...Pig Latin does not count. LOL.
