My mom said to me, I really don't get Virgos, it's like you can be so detached to the point of not even being human. I totally lol(ed).

Lol I had a similar experience with my father once. He had gotten all worked up about a story on the news one night and went through this big fussy rant, and then he stopped and looked at me when I wasn't reacting and asked why I wasn't angry about it like he was. I told him "of course I'm mad" and went back to filing my nails like nothing had happened. It's not exactly logical to throw a fit over something when there's nothing you can do about it.
On the other hand, can you imagine how big of a mess we could create in the world if all of us "robots" suddenly decided that we wanted to be irrational little attention whores? #apocalypsenowclick to expand

I am coming to terms that individuals that say Virgos don't have feelings are those who are probably not the one and have not had their feelings reciprocated. Virgos have feelings when they want you.
When they don't. Well it's all analytical and logical and blah blah blah.

I think it will always be analytical and logical with Virgos regardless. That is a key part of how they love. But yes I've seen myself they do grow to be very selective and play favourites. Not a bad thing in my book.
the Analytical sucks for their partners, because you don't know if you'll measure up, until one day they either yank the rug from underneath you or propose. There's not middle ground.click to expand

Exactly! I mean I could SAY that I'm madly in love with peanut butter but that would be a lie. Anyone can say anything but actions, consistent actions is where the truth really is. If people can't read actions then Virgos really are doomed in a relationship. In our mind the ACTIONS are saying it. To speak it out loud would just be repeating ourselves.

very true, and likewise actions have more impact on us than words. if someone said in as many words that they were worried about me and someone just did what needs to be to fix the cause of worry, i will forever be grateful to that person. you may drift away from that person, but you will always remember them from the act of kindness they showed. actions matter people.click to expand

EXACTLY! I am always so shocked and grateful when someone is there for me in deed that I never forget that act of kindness. I guess because we are so used to being the ones doing for others that when someone does for us it blows us away. Even the smallest action seems huge to a Virgo (or at least to me) cause that person cared enough to see that I needed something done then take the steps to do it. All without me having to ask or them having to say anything. I find it glorious!click to expand

I don't think its just the communication many times people don't take the time to listen and pay attention to Virgos feelings some are like Lochinvar stated have introvert/extrovert issue. Especially, this day in age many people are soo busy with themselves and not sitting down and actually listening. I don't Virgos are robots they just have different way of expressing themselves regarding their emotions and stuff. Also, Virgos have certain people they feel comfortable expressing themselves
For instance, My dad he's a Virgo and I'm a Leo I noticed he seems to be extremely comfortable expressing his feelings or whatever may have on his mind could be the weirdest thing and in my mind I'm like "Okayyyy!!! How do you come up with these things" but I don't tell him because I tend to realize my dad he's sensitive but I just nod and continue listening and ask questions LOL!! To think about it's been passed 7 years I've gotten closer with my dad and actually expresses himself ALL the time more often than my mother her being Sagittarius it's pretty funny!!
But I think its my dad he's observant noticed the way I communicate and often listen and don't judge him.. He seem to enjoy telling me his feelings and "weird" thoughts LOL
What I'm saying is this Virgos are not 'robots' I just think they are extremely overcautious to whom they decide to express their emotions. Us "outsiders" just have to be patient and don't pressure when time is right they will eventually tell us their feelings. Which I think it's normal I'm a Leo I'm also very cautious whom I express my feelings to but I think it's because I'm raised by a Virgo! HEHE many people seem to noticed I have similar traits as my father but I'm all Leo baby except the loud, attention looking part!!!

i have also noticed that because virgos are not aggressive or demanding of anyone's time/attention, they often get neglected by friends. why?? because we do not make a big fuss of things. friends think it is ok to ignore virgo has a life too, or that they need to show some interest in their virgo friend's life. this ignorant act from friends hurts us. like, whenever i go out shopping a gift for a friend or anybody in general, i will spend hours trying to pick the right gift. by right, i mean something that will be of value to the person it is for, and when it comes to close ones, something that is tied to their likes/interests. but to be honest, i have only one or two friends, other than family, who have ever put any thought into the gifts they have bought for me. i consider myself too old for gifts now, but friends have even slowly stopped making effort to remember my birthday. some friends i talk to often, but my birthday is not a special day for them to make any effort to remember. it sucks, because i always remember, maybe it's that stupid noting details thing, but then it hurts, because you put so much thought into things you do for others, and they don't even have time to appreciate/acknowledge the sentiment. why? because a virgo never demands, never throws tantrums, never seeks attention, so that makes it ok for friends to act ignorant?
i do think this self sufficient quality has made other's treat us like robots with no emotion. we robots pay attention to other's little needs and happiness, so how about us being remembered not only during work, but also during play?
