Hey guys, I know five virgo's, who keep returning to old exes, is this the norm and why?

I like to keep them on my hook generally, unless they effed up royally.

I recently OFFICIALLY ended things with this Virgo I was seeing/dating. Although, he already ended things in his head over half a year ago by shutting off his emotions and didn't let me know. -_-

Anyways, he mentioned about keeping in touch, and that is when I found out that once in a while he would contact girls he's dated in past. He also brought up about how we live close to each other (10 min away) and asked whether we should say "HI" if we were to bump into each other. I told him the chances that we would bump into each other... not very likely. It didn't make sense to me when he mentioned about keeping in touch, because he was the one who stopped all forms communications for over half a year.

Yeah, I totally get what you guys are saying, yet I thought once virgos had made a concrete decision, re to cut ties with someone, that this was set in concrete. They have obviously made the decision, that you are clearly not right for them, yet go back to see, whether there was something they may have missed or the like. This seems unvirgo like to me, or just downright confusing, for all involved.
