I will say this, I am very keen on using and writing proper English and grammar.
At the same time, I don't attack those who choose to speak more laid back.
Not to offend anyone, but I am pretty sure "Ghetto" isn't a language. You either speak proper English, or you intentionally talk/type like someone who slept through English class.

eh. the way legendary virgo writes annoys the hell out of me. i talk ghetto and can understand just fine when i hear it, but i can't understand it when i read it.
jury duty. i've reported once. they didn't choose me, because i've got a bias against police. or, more correctly, i have been baited by police and if somebody says that an officer baited them into an argument in order to arrest them, i'm gonna believe it, whether it's true or not.
last time i was supposed to report, but i would have had to wake up at 7am. 6am is my bedtime. so i just didn't show up. i was bummed out too, cos i like jury duty.
hate all the people sitting around who think its okay to cough their swine flu on me, though. and all the middle aged men who loudly chat up the barely legal girls sitting nearby to tell them about their fancy job and fancy car and fancy boat and how much they could use some company to enjoy all the money they make with. buy a hooker like an honest man. ugh.

i'm 25. it's not that old. when i type, even to text, i pretty much always use words in full. i don't say y for why or u for you. it's just who i am. ever since i was little, i was big on reading and writing and stuff, and i find that i can read formal english much more quickly than dialect or atypical spelling or y/u/r and such.
i'm a pretty huge fan of john mcwhorter, a linguist who's written extensively about how english is a living language and that various dialects of it are all valid for conveying thought and feeling. he also talks about how a lot of rules of english grammar are totally inauthentic. it's basically imposing latin rules onto english, which is still basically a germanic language. you should read something of his. his most recent book 'our magnificent bastard tongue' is pretty awesome.
english has plenty of feelings and realness to it. you just have to look past all the bullshit.
