I think a lot..it never ever stops. This is normal right? I mean people don't ACTUALLY walk around not thinking do they?! sometimes I think about several things at once. Im usually working out a problem or planning and then in the spaces between that its all random organizing. anyway I thought I would share one of my gems from my head. for example:

my car has window wiper blades that have 3 setting. Slow-Med-Fast. but within each category is a fine tune knob. Which means that if im in slow, I can turn the fine tuning knob to make it go either REALLY slow, or medium slow..or the fastest slow can go. and they each work like that. So when it rains I can match exactly the speed of how much rain is hitting my windshield. Now, it isnt as simple as matching the speed...you have to take into account the moisture it takes to get a nice clean swipe. bc if it isnt wet enough you will have streaks. so you HAVE to allow enough rain to cover the windshield before the wiper blade attempts to swipe. But not so much that you are blind for to long. so you have to time it right using all your fine tuning "gear"

so that's my example. It only takes a second to go through that process. so do normal people think this detailed? is it a Virgo thing? Im not sure I believe that there are people who DON'T think all the time...curious.

I have next to no virgo placements, but I'm always thinking about stuff like that. I spend way too much time figuring out the most efficient route for working on projects at home. Like I need 3 things from the garage, one from the kitchen one from the barn. 2 other things need to get put away, and there are 3 more things I don't need immediately, but will later. So I will actually spend mental energy going through different parameters of how to fetch & carry everything in the least wasteful way.

I also try to keep a mental list of big upcoming projects, so when I'm doing something tedious at work, I can go through ideas and materials lists so that I am more prepared when it's time to work on the project.

Sometimes I wake up in the night and start thinking too much and have to force myself to 'think' the alphabet instead of more interesting thoughts. I try to take a deep breath with each letter, and if I can stay focused on that, it usually works. It takes a few tries though.

So it's not just virgos. Maybe virgos are more prone to it than other signs though. My VG friend & I had a convo about this topic once. His mind is just as busy, but in a different way than mine. Different emphasis on the kind of thought trains. Maybe mine is more about preparing for things and planning projects because I'm a cancer....

Another tip I just recalled from my VG friend - don't expose yourself to lights after you've been asleep. Like if you get out of bed to pee or whatever, keep it dark as possible. My friend says he tries to keep his eyes closed 🙂

I've also read that anytime you are exposed to artificial light after dark, it's like a drug to your brain, since it affects the pituitary? hypothalmus? (can't remember the exact brain area). So we're constantly stimulated to think it's daytime, which screws with our systems. Some studies say artificial light can cause more cancer too, due to the system upsets.

Sometimes I try to keep most of my lights off after dark, even reading by candlelight as an experiment. I haven't done it enough to reach a firm conclusion, but it is kind of soothing and makes me feel calmer before bed. It could also be that I have to get any chores done needing light earlier, so by bedtime I can chill more & read.
