What's Your Take on This?

Hey guys. I would appreciate some virgo insight and thoughts on something, please. I'm not worked up and upset, but am curious if I should be concerned about this virgo guy. I don't really know where to start, so I'll just jump in and try to let it all make sense.

I'm in a relationship with an Aqua. We started seeing each other in late March. Before I started talking with the Aqua, I was talking with a virgo. Had one or two dates with the virgo around January/February. He disappeared around the end of February. No hard feelings, I supposed he wasn't interested. So, flashfoward. Virgo will send me a text every two months or so to say hi. In November he sent me one said he had really liked me, wishes he knew then what he knew now, thought I was not serious so he didn't try, and so forth. Told him I didn't have hard feelings against him, but I had a boyfriend and it was unfortunate the virgo and I didn't communicate well. So he wished me luck, told me to call him if I broke up with the aqua and that was it.

Yesterday, I hear from the virgo. He said he heard around town I still had the boyfriend. I said, yeah I do. He said thats not all I heard and when pressed, he said that he heard I had seen other guys since I have been with the boyfriend and I told him it wasn't true. He wouldn't tell me who he heard it from or any details.

I can't imagine how a rumor would get started. I occasionally go out with the girls, but I don't talk and flirt with other guys and I don't even go to girls night very often. Besides, I always tell the aqua where I go and what I do.

SO.....Here's the Question:

Is it possible the virgo was:

1. Telling the truth so I would know what was going around?
2. Making it up just to see what I would say?
3. Fishing for information?
4. Bullshitting me for fun?
5. Trying to see if I would play with him on the side?

Oh, the virgo likes to talk in circles and used to give me a hard time just for the hell of it. He's quite a clown sometimes. My impression is that he's either bullshitting or fishing.

Just curious to get you guys' take on this. Like I said, I'm not upset or really worried about it, but I am curious to know if the rumor is real. If so, it needs to be nipped in the bud. Main thing is not to make a big deal of it.

Thanks for your thoughts and insights as well as for any advice you guys have on it. Also wondering how to address this with the Aqua.

I hope that didn't sound nonchalent or aloof on my part. I was just trying to keep it from being one of those wall of text posts.

Look, whether it's the truth or not (truth meaning he really heard it) isn't the issue here .... the issue is that he used it to taunt you, badger you. Basically, when he contacted you back in November to hit you up and you told him "no" (in your own words of course), it pissed him off because it meant he wasn't all that to you, because if he was all that then you would break up with Aqua and run to His Majesty.

So, instead of respecting you for your life choices (which is YOUR right) ... he became vengeful, and attempted to stick it to you, so it'd fuck you up.

There's no other reason for it. If a guy was really caring about you, he would fight wild bulls to protect you ... and not just guys, any person. In telling you something like this, which in essence is attacking your sense of dignity, he thought he was paying you back.


Your only response to him should be something along the lines of ....... I don't do juvenile, forget me because I will you ... and never so much as acknowledge he ever existed ever again, even if he's right in your face, dart your eyes and rip him from ever being a part of your existence.

I don't mean play a game with him, to get him back and do that, only to then play with him again ... I mean erase him.

I think all three of you are absolutely right. My instincts tell me he was fishing for information or trying to get under my skin. I just hope he doesn't try to break us up by planting seeds of doubt in the aqua.

We only talked and had a couple of dates. That was it. I'm just dumbfounded by his behavior.

Don't really get why you're still talking to him when you're with someone else. You shouldn't even be paying him any mind let alone working out his immature messages.

He feels he's lucked out, and wonders what he's missed.
Also he's ego's taken a bruising.

No, I wouldn't be interested in having him on the side. I don't play like that. I'm not really talking to him. No harm, I thought, in responding nicely to a text here and there. Before it was how you doing? I'm good. You okay? yep. That is all it was in the past and I only ever gave short one or two word answers, not like a real conversation. I've never initiated anything with him. I don't see the point in being rude to people you dated before. Until now. After the conversation in November I didn't expect to hear from him again.
