Hello Everyone,I am new this board, but dxpnet came highly recommended. So I decided to join the family.
I need your opinion guys and dolls. Its regarding my job and my boss.
Well he his the CEO. Where do I begin? Well my boss joined our area over 18mths ago. Previously I did not have any direct contact with him because he was not my direct line manager. However 3mths ago I moved dept and he became my line manager.
I am doing really well at my job-I won manager of the month and my team won several awards. I had to go on vacation for 2wks,so I wanted to schedule a meeting with him.Just to document my performance so far.

I emailed him "Boss is it possible to have a one to one with you before 10th october,I break up then and I am concern my department will not have cover. I ideally want to go over my performance to date."
He emaiked back "If a gap occurs it is yours, however if you want to talk for awhile, friday afternoon is a good time or take your chances anytime."
I thought his email was abit informal but I will let you guys feedback at the end.

All the heads of departments had a team building exercise lastweek. We volunteeredat a charity. The day involves panting, painting etc etc. Before the task begun the CEO gave a team briefing-thanking us for showing up and setting the agenda for the day. He then made a comment that he notice some of us had made a huge effort with our brand new shiny wellies and dresses. I new that was directed at me as I was wearing a long sweater and some black shiny wellies.
He then split us up in groups and I was in his group. Now in groups,he was walking up a hill behind me and msade another comment about my brand new wellies. I replied I knew your comment in the team brief was aimed at me. He laughed it off and said no not at all.
Not to bore you guys, after a day of working we went to a bar for drinks. There was a guy who worked for our company but in a different area. My CEO was introducing all the heads of dept to him. He used everyone's name but introduced me as his very good friend. Which I thought was odd.

My boss (CE0) took lots of pics of the day and informed us all to send him our email address and he will forward it unto us. I msg (text on work mobile) on friday afternoon to forward the pics to me to my email address. He text back all of them? To which address work or home? I text bach home will be best. As I was not at work that day. He text back ok send me your address but the poster

following on....some errors but because I reached the 2500 characters,I could not erase. Sorry guys.

Send me your email address but the poster will be with you via internal mail on tuesday. As I already sent him my email address in the first text,I thought he was dragging it out because he didnt or werent allowed to sent it to my home email. So I msged back home would be ideal as I am not in work but if sending it to a external address is frown on,I will wait for the poster. He text back after 1hr30mins "Its fine, send me your email address."
He text me at around 6.30pm that friday. Which was outside working hrs.
On saturday he emailed me the pictures.
I had my meeting with him on wednesday. He spent the 1st 10-15min asking me how do I stay so slim? what stuff do I eat? Do I diet? Work out etc?? Then went on to tell me about a email he received from another girl in the company inviting him to a event and she titled it the boss and Sarah do. What do you think of that title saturday?
Then he dropped in the conversation that he earned ??100k.

I have a interview coming up for another position and he gave me some tips and said I need to be outstanding at the interview. Our meeting concluded and we shook hands. On my train journey I text him thanks for his time and I will be outstanding @ the interview. He text back good girl.

My questions are:
Am I reading too much into this? Or is my CEO far too informal??

Many thanks
