Feeling Fucked Up
by Etheridge Knight

Lord she's gone done left me done packed / up and split
and I with no way to make her
come back and everywhere the world is bare
bright bone white crystal sand glistens
dope death dead dying and jiving drove
her away made her take her laughter and her smiles
and her softness and her midnight sighs—

Fuck Coltrane and music and clouds drifting in the sky
fuck the sea and trees and the sky and birds
and alligators and all the animals that roam the earth
fuck marx and mao fuck fidel and nkrumah and
democracy and communism fuck smack and pot
and red ripe tomatoes fuck joseph fuck mary fuck
god jesus and all the disciples fuck fanon nixon
and malcolm fuck the revolution fuck freedom fuck
the whole muthafucking thing
all i want now is my woman back
so my soul can sing

Rape
by Jane Cortez

What was Inez supposed to do for
the man who declared war on her body
the man who carved a combat zone between her breasts
Was she supposed to lick crabs from his hairy ass
kiss every pimple on his butt
blow hot breath on his big toe
draw back the corners of her vagina and
he haw like a California burro

This being war time for Inez
she stood facing the knife
the insults and
her own smell drying on the penis of
the man who raped her

She stood with a rifle in her hand
doing what a defense department will do in times of war
and when the man started grunting and panting and
wobbling forward like
a giant hog
She pumped lead into his three hundred pounds of
shaking flesh
Sent it flying to the Virgin of Guadelupe
then celebrated day of dead rapist punk
and just what the fuck else was she supposed to do?

And what was Joanne supposed to do for
the man who declared war on her life
Was she supposed to tongue his encrusted
toilet stool lips
suck the numbers off of his tin badge
choke on his clap trap balls
squeeze on his nub of rotten maggots and
sing god bless america thank you for fucking my life away

This being wartime for Joanne
she did what a defense department will do in times of war
and when the piss drinking shit sniffing guard said
I'm gonna make you wish you were dead black bitch
come here
Joanne came down with an ice pick in
the swat freak motherfucker's chest
yes in the fat neck of the racist policeman
Joanne did the dance of the ice picks and once again
from coast to coast
house to house
we celebrated day of the dead rapist punk
and just what the fuck else were we supposed to do

vive noir (written pre-civil rights)
by mari evans

i
am going to rise
en masse
from Inner City
sick
of newyork ghettos
chicago tenements
1 a??s slums
weary
of exhausted lands
sagging privies
saying yessuh yessah
yes SIR
in an asortment
of geographical dialects i
have seen my last
broken down plantation
even from a
distance
i
will load all my books
in ??50 Chevy pickups —53
Fords fly United and —66
caddys i
have packed in
the old man and the old lady and
wiped the children??s noses
I'm tired
of hand me downs
shut me ups
pin me ins
keep me outs
messing me over have
just had it
baby
from
you . . .
i'm
gonna spread out
over America
intrude
my proud blackness
all
over the place
I have wrested wheat fields
from the forests
turned rivers
from their courses
leveled mountains
at a word
festooned the land with
bridges
gemlike
on filaments of steel
moved
glistening towers of Babel in place
sweated a whole
civilization
now
I'm
gonna breathe fire
through flaming nostrils BURN
a place for
me
in the skyscrapers and the
schoolrooms on the green
lawns and the white
beaches
i'm
gonna wear the robes and
sit on the benches
make the rules and make
the arrests say
who can and who
can't
baby you don't stand
a
chance
i'm
gonna put black angels
in all the books and a black
Christchild in Mary??s arms i'm
gonna make black bunnies black
fairies black santas black
nursery rhymes and
black
ice cream
i'm
gonna make it a
crime
to be anything BUT black
pass the coppertone
gonna make white
a twentyfourhour
lifetime
J.O.B.
an?? when all the coppertone's gone . . . ?

i was born too soon. in the future it will be like I, Robot. women will program the robots to force men the world over to go to sperm banks and leave donations. then the robots will retrograde abort the existing male stock and the world will begin anew with women in charge and all boy children born from that point forward will be taught that they are weaker sex.

it's what God intended after all. it's in the Bible...somewhere 🙂

how did you know?

nope, frenchy didn't do anything. just tired of being virtuous and waiting for the "right" guy to come along.

and no, male sex slaves are too much of a crap shoot. physical prowess doesn't = sexual ability or vice versa. by starting over, we will be able to create a generation of men who actually know how to please a woman and are thus better able to serve us.

if we were to keep the existing ones around, some of you might get ideas and start reminiscing about the way things use to be and we don't have the time or energy to put down male rebellions the whole world over.

so i'm not talking about an Amazonian obliteration of males but rather suggesting a gender based anarchy that is in service of humanity. with women in charge there would less child rape, child prostitution, prostitution, assaults, crime, murder, misogyny, wars...

marx had it right but the problem is, one can not achieve the ideals of a utopian society under the rulership of men. i say, men today should make the grand sacrifice for their children and their children's children and help usher in a world of peace and prosperity. AA, you should lead the charge.

no, i have not seen that piece of male propaganda that was undoubtedly written, directed and produced by MEN.

and utopia was written by a brilliant ENGLISH lawyer about 5 centuries ago and therefore prior to the formation of this "republic for which it stands" but just in-time for the kingdom of the united to begin spreading it's ilk around the world in a quest for world domination of the masculine variety.

the sacrifice...hmm. well, without the robots this will be a bit tricky. not all sacrifices are voluntary unfortunately. so i'm thinking it would resemble a mixture of the temple scene from Apocalypto and the part where Will Smith blows himself up in Legend. because women are far more diplomatic and caring than men, we'll let you pick your poison and we'll even administer last rights and let you pick your final meal.

Walk with awareness, Walk with love,
Walk with awareness, Guided from above ~
Every step a prayer, Every step in peace...
Every step in balance, Every step with ease...
Walk gentle and tender, With all of you surrender...
Walk in your power, Softly as a flower ~
Walk with the angels, Walk in the light...
Walk with the angels, Fearless through the night...
Every step... Walk gentle...
Give and receive the blessing...
I breathe in what you breathe out...
Remember, Love is connecting us all

What of a love unspoken? Is it weaker without a name?
Does this love deserve 2 exist without a title
because I dare not share its name
Does that make me cruel and cold
2 deny the world of my salvation
because I chose 2 let it grow
People tend 2 choke
that which they do not understand
Why shouldn't I be weary
and withhold this love from MAN
What of a love unspoken
no one ever knows
But this is a love that lasts
and in secrecy it grows

Life Is Fine
by Langston Hughes

I went down to the river,
I set down on the bank.
I tried to think but couldn't,
So I jumped in and sank.

I came up once and hollered!
I came up twice and cried!
If that water hadn't a-been so cold
I might've sunk and died.

But it was Cold in that water! It was cold!

I took the elevator
Sixteen floors above the ground.
I thought about my baby
And thought I would jump down.

I stood there and I hollered!
I stood there and I cried!
If it hadn't a-been so high
I might've jumped and died.

But it was High up there! It was high!

So since I'm still here livin',
I guess I will live on.
I could've died for love--
But for livin' I was born

Though you may hear me holler,
And you may see me cry--
I'll be dogged, sweet baby,
If you gonna see me die.

Life is fine! Fine as wine! Life is fine!

Thank You. Mr. Hughes for leaving behind such a powerfully subtle amazing poem.
Really put my soul into perspective when I needed it most all those years ago.
Keep a copy of it in the car, in case I come across someone who will need it.
