All signs have their own flaws, but something about Cancer sun or any major Cancer placement’s shadow side just makes me want to distance myself from them as far as possible


Childlike/dependent behaviour as a way to manipulate acceptance, forming alliances with people instead of having their own strong personality, worst of all drawing personal information out of someone for the sake of later exploitation… like weaponizing and framing it against them

I'm typically not inclined to participate in ragging on specific signs parties, but my finding cancer energy challenging to say the least is no secret either. Their pervasive need or desire for other people's complete & utter emotional surrender & vulnerability while maintaining walls around their own hearts is frustrating at best. Mistrusting of anything good, they deploy manipulative tactics in order to elicits (desired) responses. Should a person dare see throguh said tactics & responds by emotionally shutting down as a defence mechanism, cancer energy perceives that as proof positive that they were right all along! It creates resentment on both ends which then turns into a self-fullfiling proficy. Shit just schoudnt be so damn hard! Your heart isn't any more precious than mine, ppl!


When they are good, they are like panacea for all ailments. But when they go sours, well...


Out of all placements, I must confess, I find cancer Mercury the most frustrating & I'm sure feelings are very much mutual.


Sources: several cancer sun's who chose me as their bff and if i dared to hang out with other friends, there was always a seething jealously on their end.. Sufice it to say none of those lasted long. Couple of Gem sun's with prominent cancer placements & my ex Leo (cancer cusp), Scorp moon, Merc, Venus, Mars in cancer.... Though with exception of Gobby, I think I've gotten along with every other Aqua Venus I've known of, probably far better than some other placements.

Not entirely true. I, for one, am trying my best to tackle this. For the fact that my moon is hidden by scorpio (in the 8th house) it's hidden, but also annoying af even I myself can recognize me being annoying to people. Things can get ugly really deep down and if just lose control over myself I can be passive aggresive or straighr forward aggresion. Honestly I don't wonder if certain people avoid me.


I retreat when I sense I am making people feel repulsed and to be in my sensitive self I need to always remind myself that how much is the correct measurement of care placed. Having Aqua in my 3rd house helps with this knowing distancing can be good at times of need. Thinking safely that when people don't ask, then don't do anything about it. Enough respect to understand that one may not always need your help or care. They simply just don't want to be disturbed. I sometimes perceive requests from other people can get real hefty I can go away "selfishly" with my sag rising and just focus on what I wanna do for myself. However for the placement of my scorpio sun and saturn in the 12th, even though I am away, i guilt trip myself into being. I don't even know what to do sometimes.. just non sensical long pondering about mysteries I myself can never know.

I require myself hefty alone time and the reasonable guilt for not caring enough for my loved ones can make it even more complicated.


I should care more but genuine care with no expectations to make it clear.

i was in there for no more than 20 minutes.

Pretty good. This explains my Sagittarius sun Leo Moon nephew to a tee. I don't know how anybody put up with that Leo Moon bully. I dont think i can control my temper with that guy and sucka punch him straight in the eye. If all Leo moons are like your descriptions above, then I will indeed consider them on my hate list.

don’t worry. you’re good. you’re self aware enough. you’re trying to self regulate so you don’t hurt people. you know what healthy amount of distance looks like and you practice it. you’re doing fine.

feeling guilty about asking for alone time is a thing that people actually struggle with. i do too. but i’m learning to tell these needy folks, “i just gotta do xyz so give me some time. i promise i’m not gonna forget about you.” and they usually don’t put up much of a fuss cuz they know i won’t forget about them.

Yes, cancer have this inclination toward wanting to know everything as if it is their responsibility. To be fair, it isn't, right?

Came to understand recently that how we feel is basically our responsibility too. We have the choice and it is okay to make bad choices, I guess. I can suck at making choices but hey, as long as I know I do have choices, that is more than enough for me. It's life!
