Do you still force yourself through family meetings?

Nah I'm way past that point and it's freeing. Not that I don't have any interest in keeping close or in contact with family in general, there's just already been some (actually just 1 person) family member that I decided I'd be perfectly happy never seeing again and I have no plans to see again. I don't have any hard rule against it happening I just don't envision any scenario where I would. And then unfortunately, that causes a ripple effect where I'm less interested in staying connected to their immediate family. For the rest of my family I'll make some sacrifices but as soon things start veering into irredeemable toxic territory, I'll let them know and if those boundaries keep getting crossed then I'm out

I forced myself throught pisces dad birthday today, he gets emotional if i fight with any family member or if i dont go, but bruh some cousins i just feel like roundhouse kicking them

They are just half my blood tho, they are grandsons of another man

I am here thinking if this will be the last time ever i do this

Yeah, probably, but the guy is so pisces about his family lol

Since I was a kid he gets mad at me when i say i dont wanna go, but im probably always have been way too honest why

Grandma cried today when he arrived, since she is already 93 and have limited time with everything including seeing him

But part of maturing probably is realizing i dont have anything to do about it right? Was only my choice coming here and keeping the peace

Yes, but at this point I only have my parents, so there isn't much family left. After they go there will be no one left, which will be a strange era. If I'm still alive I'm sure I'll figure something out, but been around them my entire life at this point. There is a chance I go out and make my own family, but honestly I don't really have the want.
