Aqua bluntness

Some aquas I know are so blunt that it seems they are oblivious to hurting someone's feelings. Do yall not notice? Not care? No filter? No compassion? No empathy? I do realize not every aqua is like that, but it seems to be a trait.

I suppose I'm always trying to be "politically correct" and sensitive to other people, that I am astonished and intrigued by how they get away with saying what they say sometimes.

All thoughts would be appreciated.

Blunt + Commanding, and that too without realizing it,

I do not know many Aquas, just one ( He has so much Aquariusness in his chart that it makes me feel as if I am dealing with half a dozen aquas)

Yes, blunt and straight forward, with the ability of maneuvering argument,somehow, in their favour. the huge positive factor is they are always willing to listen to others as well and that too with due openness.they do give others the right to disagree and accept it without making any issue out of it.

i have been told my message is good but my delivery needs work 🙂 my friends end up appreciating my directness, but it is hard to swallow at first. it is just that i like things given to me in a direct manner. do not play with me or try to lead me to believe things are better or worse than they truly are. i need to know what i am dealing with so i can fix it. give it to me straight

i also find i say "you should" alot. i do not mean "you should", i mean "you know what might be a good idea?", but it does come off as commanding and i have to correct myself.

Easier to get your point across. All facts no fluff. Straight up practical applications. If I wanted to beat around the bush I would but most of the time a direct line is sufficient enough. On most occasions people prefer it that way. I've always been overly upfront, sometimes bordering on confrontational, but it doesn't mean I'll lose my objectivity in the process. Shit just needs to be said. We'll worry about tacking on bells and whistles when the time asks for it.

I would agree with this re: every Aqua I know. It's not WHAT they say, it's HOW they say it that needs work!

LOL I get this all the time. Once I had a friend just go off on me and say I wasn't being honest I just like to hurt ppl's feelings...not true. Its just we're stubborn and have a certain raw way of looking at things. Sometimes it comes out in a rush of frustration or something meant to be funny, and then later, upon assessment, we see that maybe it came out a little harsh or rude. I'm very sarcastic, drives my mom crazy, and for people that dont know me, they sometimes think im mad at them when I'm not. The best way to deal with an aqua to be open and upfront, because even if what you say is a little rough, they'll respect you having the balls to say it.

I'm the same. I often say things in the heat of the moment, incorrectly judging my use of tact and diplomacy (due to my overwhelming desire and excitement of wanting to say what I need to say right NOW, then later spend ages kicking myself for the way it came out. At times I can be so blatant (my virgo sis understands it well, no probs with her) but for others I gotta force myself to be more tactful or I think about what/how I will say something before I do for the sensitive folk. When I'm feeling lazy, or if I really can't trust myself with my outcome I say nothing and scream in my head instead.

I agree that aqua are blunt(that's the word everyone uses). But our luv for facts and rational thought does not leave us with another option. In fact I lack words most of the time and say them in the best possible way that hurts others.

Yes, one thing an aqua needs to learn I to be more tactful.

What leaves me frustrated is no amount of rational explanation helps my other friends understand the concept or outcome of the actions. I never understood what anyone gets by being CLOSED to opinion and resort to what I call dependency.

I have always wondered, "is it not a piece of fact to be considered when someone voices an opinion?". "Why cant everyone see that its the opinion I am putting across and not a command?"

Aquas as their true nature, doesn not command or force anyone to do anything. We respect individuality. We respect you. We only put across what is called "FACTS", things that should be considered for a better decision. Why does everyone take is as a command? We are just so sure of the consequences that we try to repeatedly warn you. Is that being BLUNT?

Many times, I as an aqua feel alienated and at loss of why a rational thought is so hard to accept. Aqus do have an open mind, I have seen that only ppl that can give me clear answers with out "this is it" or "you need to trust" or "I don't no why but I think this is true/good" are my fellow aquarians.. I somehow find it very hard to accept something with out reason and very hard to beat around the bush when something is so clear as sunlight.

WE DO HAVE EMPATHEY AND OPEN MIND FOR EVERYONE. I can tell you its hard to find a person but an aquarian, that truly values your opinion EVEN IF ITS NOT some thing that is socially/culturally or otherwise accepted with out reason or rational thought.

We value individuality and we believe everyone has the RIGHT to their own thoughts and believes. We don't push our thoughts on you, we just warn you.

Have your BF/GF accept something that they dost like, you'll see them CRIB all your life, but an aqua does not do that except to make u understand "why" when you go wrong.

definatly. I realize that I say some things in a way that sounds like I don't care or that I'm irritated, when in truth I'm just saying what's on my mind. We need more tactic I think. Sometimes my mind races so much that I'll burst out some comment or fact and it'll either be completely outside of the subject or it'll sound like I don't care about your feelings. it doesn't happen too often, but it is something I'm working on

but the shortest direct way i can say what i have to say is usually the route i take. i love everyone that i talk to this way, if that means anything. 🙂

and its obvious when i dont like someone, i usually sugar coat it and im nice about telling them stuff. 😈 oh i dont lie either, its just my sweet voice. i use it with that aqua chic at work..bitch drives me nuts. 🙂

I totally agree with what you said. When I don't like you, I don't trust you to get what I'm saying so I'll be way nicer and PC about it. So if an Aqua is blunt with you, it usually means that they care enough to be that open with you. If not, I wont even engage in conversation, just nod and smile lol.

All of the aquarius men I know are like this....very blunt....no regard for your feelings...they call it being honest and I call t being cruel...when I give them a taste of their own medicine they get very sensitive...
