Shyness

For some reason I know a LOT of people influenced by Aquarius at the moment. The ones I know have Capricorn somewhere in their personal planets. I was wondering if Capricorn adds a spoonful of shyness to an Aquarian's personality? It seems these people are extra-cautious in approaching someone they like, not even daring to be caught looking at the person. (Side note: I notice the Aqua/Capricorn combination guy tends to enjoy working security. I think that's the Capricorn in them more than Aquarius, though I could see both.)

Forgot to mention my question, is why would this combination be shy? Or - are Aquarians shy in general (and I'm just slow on the uptake)

I wouldn't say that they're shy because my Aqua husband has probably 4 Cap planets or more in his chart but he isn't shy. He's certainly less impulsive and more calculating. He's more observant and does care more about traditional values. He's also more suspicious of people'intentions so he's unlikely to reveal himself first. He does ocassionally blush when I tease him which I find adoring.

You know they aren't shy because they poke fun at you and strangers all the time. They also speak their opinions loudly and don't care what others think about their 'weird' habits. They're very proud of that in fact 😛 They do take time to reveal their feeling for you but that's due to their cautious nature(I wouldn't call that shyness). Once they're in ( venus in cap), it's long-term and they treat you very well. You can feel their adoration and hear it for many years ( it has been nearly 4 years now). The flame of love and lust seem to get stronger as time goes by inside Aqua with Cap influence(his words). They look better too with their age and becomes less serious 😉

I would say definitely yes. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, planet of limitation. Strong Saturn in a chart may indicate a person who is very self aware. Shyness is a common trait. Confidence is gained through experience.

I have Venus (conjunct Saturn), Mars (conjunct Uranus) and Mercury in Capricorn. I'm shy and i almost never act on impulse, even when i'm angry. Sometimes my Aqua Sun and Mars-Uranus conjunction kicks in and i react in unpredictable ways. I don't like it because self control has always been the key for me.

Btw i'm new here and i was just wondering if there was an introducing thread or something like that. Not that it matters now, though. :p

I'm curious. All of your planets are in the same sign as mine... where's your ASC and MC if i may know? Mine is in Cancer, so i guess i can relate to being shy more than others.

I'm not shy but I do tend to be...withdrawn. I guess that goes back to the whole disconnected thing

i can come across shy but its more that im just a private person and am too wrapped up the constant random thoughts flowing into and out of my head. when im around people i know or get to know, i can be more outgoing. otherwise, im walking around consumed w/ all this crap in my head =-)

also, i think people who have any kind of aqua in their chart it adds a more shyness or awkwardness to them. like aries kristen stewart. she has an aqua mars but always seems uncomfortable and awkward when in public. taurus adele has said she gets anxiety and used to hate performing for too big crowds. she still gets a little shy but used to be more awkward about it before. she has an aqua mars too. i could be wrong, just a personal observation =)

I guess many of your Cap planets fall in your 2nd house then... mine are all on the 7th. I'm aware that many astrologers say that planets in angular houses carry additional weight in terms of importance in a chart. This is true for me, at least. Also Sagittarius seems way bolder than Cancer.

This is absolutely true in my case. I've Aqua mars and I'm incredibly shy and awkward in public. People are suprised to know that I'm shy as well because when I talk to them in a small group setting, I don't seem to show that. Then when it's time to speak to a whole room about my presentation, ghosh!

Well, I'm as aqua as they get and I'm painfully shy with guys I am interested in. I don't think it's a Capricorn combo.

Funny thing you mentioned that the guy at my job is a security guard and he has alot of capricorn influences. I don't know his full chart for sure but here' s what I do know:
Sun: Aqua
Moon: Sagg
Mercury: Cappy
Venus: Cappy
Mars: Cappy
I have been trying for the longest to get closer to him but he always seems really reserved and OH SO SERIOUS my stubborn shy taurus nature wont allow me to come out and tell him so I wait patiently for him to make a move lol By now he knows I like him from people who tried to hook us up, but HE IS TOOO DAMN SLOWW! he says HI to me and always smiles at me with an occasional joke, I've even caught him looking for me a couple of times but idk if he is just teasing me becuase he knows I like him or if his cappy placements are making him take things SLOW!!! Please give me incite on how to speed this guy along if he's interested because my venus in aries and mars in leo is going crazy over here!
