Aqua Moon & Venus Man

The full story is:
I met a guy online back in November last year.Aqua moon and aqua venus. He was lovely.??We were very well suited personality wise, good chemistry, similar humour, we kissed on dates and it was lovely. he contacted me constantly. texting and emailing and messaging me several times a day. he flirted with me, told me he really liked me. If felt right to kiss me etc. he added me on Facebook too.I never had to prompt him to contact me. the only thing was he was worried about the distance between us. not that far but not round the corner.??
He then pulled it out of nowhere that he didn't want to continue. But the strange part is he said he still really likes me. Likes being in contact with me. doesn't want to lose touch. Can we be friends he says. Stay in touch as we get on so well.He also revealled he was dumped horribly by his on / off gf in July before we met. He thought he was ok but isn't ok. He is scared to get involved. Cannot explain why his feelings changed but he is fickle. He has also had some changes at work and he's not happy where he is.??
Ok fine. I was disappointed but ok. We didnt date long and didn't sleep together.??I accepted it and just decided to leave it alone and move on. I was fine.
Only he texted 5 days later asking how I was etc. I took my time but replied. He texted all over Christmas and new year.??So the situation remained that he would text now and again: usually every 10 days. I would reply. Sometimes I would initiate texts but not often. I totally accepted we were just casual friends / acquaintances as that is what he wanted..??
He could see from Facebook I was traveling and living my life.
He randomly unfriended me on Facebook a week ago. I asked if I had done something to upset him.He said he was getting bothered by the frequency of contact and that it's greater than that between him and his close friends. It worried him....!
I reminded him he wanted to be friends and he stayed in touch. I told him he wanted friendship and initiated most of the contact anyway. I also told him not to flatter himself.
He backed off and said just conclude here. So I thought the hell with it and blocked him on Facebook.??
But seriously. ...what the hell?! Did I miss something or did I just meet some manipulative idiot?Was I supposed to chase him when he dealt the friends card or what? Was he annoyed that I gave him what he said he wanted or what?
he is a pisces sun but on the Aries cusp.

I am kinda WITH a Pisces Sun and Aqua Moon at the moment. I am an Aqua Sun, Venus, Mercury and Cap Moon. He is very sensitive to the point I fear it might be a future problem but we'll see....anyhow, my Aqua Venus can play tricks on people. The smallest things can set me off and at that point it's basically over and I will friend zone you. Se x will never again be of any importance. I won't even let you touch me. But we can be best friends.
