Aquarius Guy with big talk pulls Houdini...

So, I'm a Scorpio sun, Scorpio ascendant, Scorpio Venus guy. Needless to say, this makes me a VERY extreme person. I don't lie an I only say things I mean. Otherwise I say nothing at all. Well I met this Aquarius sun guy online. He came on REALLY heavy. He was constantly telling me how attractive I was and how smart and "absolutely different" and funny I was. I just mentioned small things like I liked the color of his shirt in his profile pic. He appealed to my vanity and showered me in compliments. He asked me for my number and we moved on to texting. He continued with this. I started becoming more receptive. I really started liking him. Eventually he calls me (by his own decision) and lo and behold, he is BRITISH... *cue swoon* I live in lower Alabama so that's something rare. He sent me text messages saying that he wanted to go on a coffee date and that he wanted to, y'know, be my first boyfriend and all. After day 3, texts become sparse and he pulls the infamous Aquarian disappearing act. Would an Aquarian say things like that and not mean them? Or should I expect him to return? Any insight would be appreciated. THANKS!

Sounds kinda fishy to me.

Also, sounds like he found someone who was easier to go get some ass with.

Regardless of sign, if a guy is hot and heavy and suddenly backs off, chances are there's someone else that's tickling his fancy.

Im a Gemini (another air sign) and I don't even remotely do this kind of thing (with the flattery).
The vanishing act though yeah its normally because air signs we can flit from one person to another. A lot of people hold our interest at one time. I know that's probably what you don't want to hear but Im being honest. With me if you become boring or at any point predictable I get bored and look for a replacement.

I eventually moved on to calling him cute and things. Funny thing is he had me with all that "I'm tired of sluts" talk... I just always play it cool, despite the way I feel. Because now, he's kinda all that's on my obsessive Scorpio mind. It's pathetic!

Hi! Did you two go on the date? Also, has he ever had a boyfriend before?

According to him, he's had a few relationships. Most of which ended badly. And I couldn't get him to settle on an actual time/place for the date.

Based on the bs that he fed you, it kinda makes me think he's one of those types- just fucking around online to see what he can get out of it. Kinda obvious with the flighty time/date thing going on.

I totally agree, and from my experience, when people say they are tired of this type or that type, or they are this way and they aren't that way...blah, blah, blah... that's bs. Talkers are just that, talkers...

I see this quite a lot, in dating and friendships. It really tells you that there are a LOT of people out there who have no idea what they want.

I agree. I too was guilty of this, then realized that the problem wasn't the guy, the problem was me and the type of guy I chose to be with. I can't expect different results if I keep choosing to date "projects". Same thing with friendships.

I think that is the challenging part though, is that it is so easy for us to put blame on others, when in actuality, we need to start with ourselves.

Yes!!!!! I'm not gonna lie, I use to fall for the bs. Now, I just laugh inside when someone talks their talk.

I think I'm just going to take you all's advice. I guess it was just the rarity of his traits that had me so attracted.e

An Aqua COULD possibly say things out of niceness and out of necessity to please. Check his Mercury and Venus. I can relate to it because my Venus is in pisces though my Mercury in Cap would catch myself from making thoughtless compliments. I mean I do it anyway but when real feelings area at stake I don't say things I don't mean.

Funny thing with that placement is they can be affectionate to a fault then run the fuck away when reality doesn't match up.
