Aquas Special Talents
i'll go first...
i like to crochet, knit, sew, and i have submitted a couple sci-fi stories to some publishers. 😢 no word about my stories yet.
I made all of the curtains hanging up, throw pillows, duvet covers, and a our grocery bags 🙂 i crochet/knit all of our scarfs, hats and gloves.
but my talent that i just recently discovered i have is woodworking 😄
i love it! i have restored and painted a number of items in our condo. oooh duh pics, i need to get some pics. duh. i will get some and post them for you guys to see.

I knit too!! I make everything from throws to mittens. I have this crazy collection of 'booties' (woolen slippers). I also paint and write. But now im interested in pottery and weaving. My interests change very often, i was into beading for a while, but got bored with it. I will see how long these two will keep me interested.

yes!! i forgot about baking. i love to bake. but my biscuits are not good..they come out so hard. I love TLC's Cake Boss. you go girl...😄 cant wait to see you on there!
I'm really into the arts. all kinds. I write songs, make my own music (though I'm a bass guitarist so I sometimes just focus on that). I write stories, poems and so on. I'm a technical theater buff, I act every now and then.
Mainly, I'm into the fine arts. Drawing, painting, sculpture, I do it all, with all different media.
Charcoal pencils, graphite pencils, pastels, chalk, pens, marker, acrylic paint,water color paints, wire sculpture, stone sculptures, paper mache, jewlery. etc etc

Back in the day I studied Creative writing at uni although I didn't finish. I was also heavily into the performing arts and dance and worked with a few UK contemporary dance companies.
I used to teach arts and crafts, dance and drama workshops voluntarily and I would take part in loads of creative community projects.

Breaking hearts...
I can do all things art I draw, paint, sculpt watever i can get my hands on...I love interior decorating....I dance, Im trained in jazz, contemporary and dabbled in ballet did a bit of commercial when i was living in the city... and now i do amateur theate.... mind you I'm a bit of a theater nerd and have always wanted to do it but thought it was super gay even for me....I just wanted to try something different and get more involved with the community of my hometown cos i realised i knew no one lol now i know too many ppl! so i did "rent" last year n played collins and this year im doing "sweet charity".I have a black belt in TKD i did it from when i was 8 till when i was 16... I'm also a good cook......ill cook for my friends cos their vegetarians and they eat alot of shit and dont know how to cook good vegetarian food apart from cheese and tomato on toast and everytime i make them something they worship me......unlike my family who eat like pigs and my mum always fiddles with what im making which drives me nuts.

this is not one of my items that was really beat up. just a few scratches. i have a dresser i refinished that was so beat up, but i cant find the pics. 😢 i'm still looking.
the one on the left is before the refinishing and the one on the right is after. 🙂
this is the staining process...not much going on...i sanded before this but didnt take any pics😢 i have to get better at that.....

U know what, chem? I think i also need to learn your new skill. I have an obsession of buying nice but fucked up things from 2nd hand shops. My garage is full of such treasures. Did u learn it yourself or were u attending classes for it? That chest of drawers looks amazing btw, well done!
thanks water cup. i got it at a second hand shop for $ 30. i did teach myself how. i watched a lot of you tube videos. and i joined a site called doityourself.com the guys there really know there stuff and are very helpful. if you need any help let me know.
oh and i ordered some books on refinishing and painting furniture from amazon.com. those are real helpful too.
I'll look it up on the net, thanks. My brother inlaw used to refurnish my stuff, but not anymore- we arent talking, lol. Im not one to beg another, so ill have to learn the skill myself. I'll let you know when i need some help. Thanks, girl.

I am a very hands on individual from very basic things to technical.. I enjoy tinkering with cars right down to building the motor up from nothing but bare block pieces. I learned sometime ago how to do wood repair, whether it's scratches, pieces broken off whatever, I know how to work it back to new from numerous techniques that I picked up at a weekend school. I'm very puter literate and understand the whole aspect of servers/clients/business networks etc. Love dancing, and am obsessed with cooking!!! I am always experimenting in the kitchen in one way or another, and have plans to attend cooking classes after I am finished with my present school program.
Do any of you ever feel kind of like an extremist in your hobbies? What I mean by this is either you are all in or not at all, you crave the knowledge to know every little aspect of it and not just the little here and little there so much?

Yeah nexus, an extremist right here, but i blame my scorpio moon for it though. I do everything until im sick of it. Same with songs/movies, if i like a song or scene, i'll put it on repeat over and over.How sweet that u can cook, your libra friend would be lucky to have u as a boyfriend. Feels like that libra is more into stringing people along, oh well! 😄

I'm really good with animals too. Everybody pays me to walk their dog or dog sit when they leave and I have never even owned one. I was never good his hands on stuff though I made a friendship bracelet once. 🙂

Hah, thanks Chem! I am very thankful for finding this forum, I've never met a group of characters are that equally jovial and happy go lucky as I am. I need to find more people like this in person.. Off topic question, do you find yourself pushing away people in your life that are naturally more negative? I've noted that I instantly distance myself from these types myself.
I hate negativity, ive said it here many times before. I dont stick around ppl like that or ppl with steel rods up the arse. I like fun fluffy ppl. I would befriend an eclair or puff-pastry if i could for its lightness.

yes i avoid them like the plague. if i dont then i end up saying something rude. i am trying to be more sensitive to other people feelings. but they make it so hard to do sometimes. so far i am avoiding 3 people like that. sorry but im not going to have them ruin my day.
