So last night, with "L" word on the tip of my tongue, Aqua man announces that although he would DEFINITELY consider us more than just FWB, he simply cant commit to any kind of relationship, and that I should start looking for somebody else?! Especially since he just wants me to be happy without him being in the way..after seeking me out, dates, trips away, a ridicluously romantic Valentine?? Day...wtf? Well i told him, he definitley isnt cut from a different cloth, after all every man wants to have his cake and eat it, but unfortunately there?? only so much cake a man can have. "Let?? just be friends" that famous cry..umm no thanks! So i totally know what i need to do now, start the whole detachment process, Oh Lord help me! No texting at wrong times, seeing him when i feel a little lonely, being a slave to my fone (has he hasnt he texted etc). Damn 😢

Wow. That's so fucked up....
That is so fucking cruel... You know what I beginning to realize just how nice an Aqua I am. He knew he wasn't gonna like you from the beginning no way he'd have that figured out already by now in such a short period of time.
Unless this is some selfish indirect way to protect his own heart by not letting you love him... I can't even understand that.

Maybe you started to come on to strong to fast and he didn't want all that just yet...

how many times have you been advised that actions speak louder than words? Sigh. If i have a daughter, i can imagine how it is with her growing up and then having all these guys chasing her. UGH. It's a CURSE i tell you. Better to be like Amy in "Big bang theory"

I mean seriously, why ask to see me almost every night, time available, want to meet my family, have me meet your sister, sleep at mine however often per week, and admit to acting like my bf without actually committing to the idea. Let me say in my defense that not once, ever, had i asked for him to be my bf, for more than he wanted to give. All i have done is reciprocate (and secretly fall in love)..if it was all too much for him, then hell, he should have made his realisations sooner. If you are contacting and seeing someone DAILY for 6 weeks, its not because you're not into that person.

I don't mean to sound harsh because I sympathize, but it goes back to the year old advice everyone woman gets from her mom, grandma, father and in my case, even brothers, that you need a man to respect you for him to wanna be wth you. I never thought that FWB situations turn out well for women because the man's respect is not earned by being his sex toy. Why buy the cow you don't respect, when you can have the milk without it. FWB situation work best for people who see sex as nothing but physical and who have a hard time getting attached to people.

I have seen Aquarius men and women do FWB relationships because aquas don't get attached easily and aren't as emotional as most signs are. Get rid of him if you want something more.

Anyways, one time i tried to break it off in the beginning, and i couldnt get rid of the ass! I respect that he doesnt want to continue with me, ok it could have been done better, or sooner. Thats all im saying!

I don't think he's lying about that. I truly believe he thinks of you as a friend and not just a booty call. YOu are not on the worse end, booty call, nor are you on the best/favourable end, which would be lover. You are in between, which is friendship. He's glad to meet you, he likes spending time with you, enjoys your company. Libras adn Aquas get along famously in friendship. I'm more convinced in saying that because you mentioned that he wants you to be happy and has asked you to move on. But sadly, friendship is all there is to it. Romance can either be selfish or selfless, but either way romance has jealousy and, in aquarius' case, a tinge of jealousy. If he is easily asking you to move on, then he cares for you as a friend, which in my aquarius book makes him attainable, that is if you want him bad enough. Aquarius associates friendship with love. Often our partners are more our friends than lovers. So what do you do?
You heard of "absence makes the heart grow fonder". You need to pull away and give him a chance to miss you. Missing you can either force him to commit to you or come to the realization that he wants to be with you.

When he comes crawling back, take aqua09's advice. It's not game playing. It's human nature. Don't deal with him again unless it's on your own terms. And you shouldn't ask him about it ever again. He should offer up the commitment on a silver platter. He's known this whole time it's what you wanted.

Probably by the time he does that, you won't want him anymore. As is typical of air sign fwb situations. Sigh.

And the words in the valentine don't mean much. He could have given the same exact one to his dry cleaner or whoever cuts his hair.

Thanks evrybody, you've made my bad day easier 🙂 Yeah, this guy is Aqua with Pisces venus and Mars, but you know i dont know what was going through his mind..it was sudden, (but obviously he had wanted to bring it). We had just been out to the the theatre, sitting there, arm round me, smelling my hair and neck, kissing me, bought the tickets, and rounds off an a lovely evening with that BS.

If there had been signs, i could deal with it better, but im just like, wow, i didnt see it coming. I mentioned to another DXP(er) in a private mail, that he has ONLY female friends (apart from guys from his football team). Anyways, i know one of these girls like him A LOT because he's always mentioning how she wants him..(i told him to go with her etc). I bet she has been putting ideas into his head, he did say she hates me because im "stealing his attentions". What the fuck ever, honestly.

Same here. It actually makes me pretty angry, so I'm not going to say anything else besides that I agree.
This guy has no balls. He can't stand up for what he feels, which to me, would = flaky all the way through the relationship, if you were to have one. I've known aquas to be very loyal, but they also know what they want and aren't afraid to go for it and stick with it. This guy is just feeding off the fwb situation and isn't afraid to lose you because he thinks he has that part of you to keep until he doesn't need it anymore. If his feelings for you or motivations to be with you are deluded by this other girl's words, then fuck that! Obviously he doesn't like you that much, then. My aqua ex was desperately afraid to lose me because he loved me. This guy doesn't love you, obviously, and might not be able to see you that way. Just the feel I get from it. To me, this guy is not worth it, whether I loved him or not. I'd be gone.

@Sola, this Aqua is actin' kind of raggedy towards you. You shouldn't have to negotiate your way into a mature relationship. He doesn't seem trustworthy as a significant other. Now, don't get me wrong, I love me some Aqua men. They are fun both as significant others and platonic friends. But, I don't like the havoc that the unevolved ones can wreak.
My vote is to keep it movin' on down the line. Forget about what he "said" and his kind "little gestures".

He needs to step up and stop actin' so damn amateurish. lol

He's an ass either way you slice it, and for whatever reason he said what he did (whether it's commitment issues or he didn't mean it and spoke too soon, etc.), don't waste anymore time because what he did was dishonest and immature and cowardly.

And not all Aquas are commitment-phobes. My own Aqua was very eager to commit, and we communicate in ways so blunt, it would probably shock others, and it surely violates the idiotic dating "rules" these days -- but it works for us, and we are happy. 🙂 So don't lose hope!!

I was in contact with a Scorpio, and I thought we were just travel buddies, since the Scorp guy didn't express any interest in a relationship. We flirted around during our travels, but no sex.

Then when back home, I got serious with my Aqua and told the Scorpio. The Scorpio FLIPPED OUT, and I ended up having to nearly get a restraining order.

According to the Scorpio boards, I was apparently a bitch, a slut, and a player for going on dates with other guys, and for not idiotically ASSuming that I was in a relationship with the Scorp. *eyeroll*
