Been getting close to an Aquarius over the past two years. He is incredibly shy and scared and admits to being unable to trust or relax because of a hijacking trauma in his family and an intense fear of loss. We have tried to not be friends but we both get too upset. Relationship out of the question at this stage as he has so much to work through. He had a huge crush on me last year for the entire year but of course he was too afraid to do anything about it. Anyway, we chat for hours over text and he confides in me a lot. But the other night he said because he is also my sports coach (yeah, he's really young, but brilliant at sports and coaching) he feels it is likely we will never be close friends. Yet it seems to me we are already close? Seems like a cruel thing to say as on the many occasions I wanted to walk away from our friendship I did not and told him I want to try to understand him - he always said thank you, he appreciates it, he is trying to work through the trauma of the hijacking and his mom's and brother's attempted suicide. But now he says this - we won't be close? 😢
